Guys would you recommend the play and charge kit over the regular AA batteries? Lets say I only take  a day to play in a week, whats the reasonable price for that kit?

And the original controller that bundles with the console do not have batteries right?

I originally wanted a Play-N-Charge, but I discovered I had a pair of GP NiMH batteries and a charger, so I passed that.

If you only play once a week, traditional AA rechargables are more enough for you. The GPs are still enough for me even though I game 3-5 a day (for now). It's just the effort of charging once you finish gaming.

depends on your battery capacity.

The Xbox 360 official wireless has 2 2100mAh NiMH batteries (can't take them out).

My own batts are old (6+ years) GP Powerbank 1800mAhs. I estimate they can last ~6-7 hours at least, but they're REALLY old and never fully charged (my charger is the old slow kind)

I suggest any type of charger (even the slow ones, 3-4 hours of charge would be enough for a nice play session), and 2/4 2200mAh batts (get what's cheap) , alternating between play and charge for the latter.
