Thank you xxboxx for answering.

My next question would be,

1.any cons using the stepdown converter for JAP 360?
2. does this step down converter produce heat?

I heard the 360 had some heat probs.

1. Do you actually need a room with air cond to be on the safe side whike paying the 360?

2. How many of you here put their 360 in no air cond room?

Planning to get X360, hopefully by the end of this month if everything goes OK.

Should I get 19", 20" or 22" LCD monitor? is bigger better or maybe 19" should be ok for my room?

20" and 22" support 1680x1050 while 19" support 1440x900

I'm just worried if the picture might get pixalated with bigger screen.

Since PC monitor has 16:10 and X360 designed for 16:9 ratio, that means there will be black bars on top and bottom of the PC monitor right?

Thanks in advance.

For computer monitors, it's simple really, the bigger, the better, smile.gif for me to say the least. As for your pixelation worries, you don't have to worry too much about that, that's the one major reason why everything is on HD now.

As for the ratio question, you are correct. There will be 2 small black bars on top and bottom of your screen. Make sure the monitor you're purchasing can stretch according to aspect ratio. There's quite a few out there that does not do that.

Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks.

QUOTE(gnome @ Oct 14 2007, 08:59 PM)
There's no black bar on 16:10 lcd. The height of the graphics will be stretch abit and the image will appear abit blurry since the 360 doesnt have a native resolution for 16:10 lcd. If you want the correct picture ratio for a 16:10 lcd, you need to get a monitor that has a 1:1 pixel mapping features and those monitors are abit expensive compared to the normal ones.
*
Which monitor has that 1:1 pixel mapping feature? thanks.

Bought my X360 last Friday biggrin.gif

Hard to control the car when playing PGR4 as i'm too used to control accel/break using the right analog stick.

Also I noticed the the DVD drive is quite noisy when playing game.

I played COD 3 demo, soundless.
The noise is as loud as my PC DVD drive when installing any game or software.

I guess that's an issue as my sound of my speaker is louder biggrin.gif

Just how long the provided AA Energizer battery can last on the wireless controller? i've been playing for week and it still shows 3 bars. I've also finished Tomb Raider and GRAW2!

my xbox manufacturing date -11-2005. Still surviving until now. I think it depends on how u handle it. I m using the dashboard myth to cool the console. It seem to prolong the lifetime
*
Me too hehe, I think it makes sense, imagine if you in the middle of the game and if you switch off the console immediately, all the hot air will get trap inside the Xbox because the fan stopped running.

When in dashbord the CPU/GPU is mostly at idle state so the fan can suck out all the extra heat in the Xbox produced while playing games before.

^You want to put it at the back or at the side of it?

I'm thinking of doing it at the side of it, fresh air comes in on the side, hot hair goes out at the back, but it'll make you Xbox looks ugly though.

The GUI will mostly be in Japanese, because as you know the Japanese don't give a damn about other languages in the world.

But it really depends on the game itself, I have Japanese DOA4 and the GUI is in english.

Yea it's normal, because the Xbox disc drive is the fastest among other consoles this gen.

Playing games from HDD will eliminate the noise from the disc drive.
