Applied yesterday at 1U and was told that the result of the application will be known today (Monday). Just called the Card Centre at 5 p.m., apparently my application is still 'under processing'.

Hmmm .. is history repeating itself?? Ten years ago at a Maybank branch, a bank officer offered me a credit card. He said to me 'sure get approved wan' since I was an existing Platinum card holder from another bank. Two weeks later, got a rejection letter from Maybank sad.gif
This is despite having a clean credit record. If get rejected again, I'll never bother with Maybank again.

I applied for the premier 2 cards. Hopefully I'll get a positive phone call later today from Maybank.

Applied on Sunday and approved on Tuesday. biggrin.gif
At the Card Centre I wanted to apply for Priority Pass for supplementary card holder (for minister with multiple portfolios) but was turned down.
I thought that I read somewhere that supplementary card holder is also eligible for Priority Pass but apparently not. mad.gif
Requested that the PP be issued to supplementary card holder instead of principal card holder but was turned down too! vmad.gif

Tried to used the Amex at concourse area but was not accepted, so had to use VI instead (x2 instead of x5). sad.gif
Bought grocery at Cold Storage, no problem with Amex. biggrin.gif

Just received a letter stating that I've won a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 (worth RM305) in their campaign. Didn't even know there was a campaign ongoing....
Well, free is always good ... biggrin.gif

I was at KLIA PPL on Sunday morning. The food serve there was okay, okay only. There is the 'lo si fan' which is tasty but without much ingredient, porridge with dry oyster (thumbs up), noodle soup (didn't try) and the normal tasting curry puff, scrambled egg, baked beans and croissant. The place was busy, I waited in line for about 5 minutes before getting in. Will be using again in future since it is free anyway smile.gif

So i take it, harvey norman is out ? Shit .. .thats where i always went to redeem stuff >_<

I was at Harvey Norman last Saturday. Found out that beginning 1st May, the points redemption will have a new rate. The new rate will be 40000 points convert to RM100. The current rate is only 25000 convert to RM100. The same is true for House of Presentations.

So you guys out there might want to quickly make some redemption before 1st May. I've done mine, good luck!

Does anybody here knows if treat point redemption at Harvey Norman still available? I've checked the latest treat points catalog and it doesn't mention Harvey Norman anymore.

Yesterday went to Harvey Norman to buy dining table chairs but forgot to ask...

I just used treat points for redemption last Sunday (6th July) at HN. No problem ...

RM50 at 20,000 TPs, in the block of RM50

Herc and zeronuker,

The treat points conversion was very generous up until 31st March 2015.
The new rate is not as good but still worthwhile if collected via Amex.
No need to convert to fixed value vouchers, can directly convert all your points.

Sorry, I can't remember the current conversion rate.

Yup, got it as well. 1 year RM31,800, 3 years RM53k, 10 years RM106k and 20 years RM159k. No idea whether this is a good deal.

Not really familiar with golf club membership, still I don't think it is a very good deal.
