are you sure the rate by maybank is base on transaction date and not on posting date?

Does it matter? Coz we are looking at the % and not absolute value. It should be same or vry near.

Yeah, best for collecting enrich miles! Other benefit is also Priority Pass x 5 annual usage if you need that. Some of the dining discounts are also not bad, only used it once though.

What did you declare as your annual income when offering to pledge FD? When I applied MBB2 cards I put FD of 20K, income as 60k , for VI 50k FD and income as whatever the minimum was for that card. Then used the same FD as for the VI against Premier application , and again put income as minimum stated for those cards.

But if your income requirement already fulfil the income as minimum stated for those cards. What is the point pledge FD to get the card?

That's just the numbers I put on the form ... no supporting proof. eg. MBB2 says 60K min I put 60K, VI 180k 6 months later I put that as the figure - no supporting documents by the way.

Not sure if that makes a difference - I'm pledging FD anyway, so why does income matter  laugh.gif

biggrin.gif Since is pledging FD anyway. It should not matter but maybe that is the trick to get the card also. laugh.gif

Received SMS yesterday, my application has been approved. So for those who doesn't meet the income requirement but are existing MBB cardholder with more than RM30k credit limit, can try your luck as well.  rclxms.gif

Pledge FD? Or just send it application to upgrade the cards without supporting documents for income? hmm.gif

No pledging FD.

I applied the cards during treats fair. Submit new form and NRIC only. I declared 0 income being a SAHM. As I mentioned earlier, I have existing MBB 2 Cards Platinum with credit liimit more than RM30k. This is one of the requirement told by the sales guy in order to get these cards.

No problems  biggrin.gif

Are you thinking to apply for this card too?
I was told by a HSBC banker that I have a high score in their system (not sure what is their system) when I applied for their mortgage a few years back. I rejected their offers twice, managed to negotiate to the rates I wanted and only 3 years lock in period without MRTA. The banker was surprised when the bank agreed to my terms, and told me that I have a high score in their system and my credit profile is what the bank likes.

Then last year, I called CIMB to cancel my Platinum card, instead I was being offered to upgrade to Visa Signature or World MasterCard with all fees waived and cash back of RM150 or RM250 (can't remember the amount). I was surprised too because I am a SAHM then.  So I think the bank somehow have a credit profile which they like, which is unknown to us.

FYI, MBB give me the lowest credit limit among all cards that I owned and Standard Chartered Bank give me the highest credit limit at RM70k.

I'm stingy, not willing to pay AF tongue.gif
For MBB to waive, need to spend RM80k for this card.
Not possible for me sweat.gif

p/s: I am current mbb2cards holder with 16k credit limit.

When you apply the Cards, you mention willing to place RM50K. But when MBB approve, they only request for RM 14K? Am i right?
