I got the reply that there is no fee and charges, it's lifetime fee waiver. Ask me to dropby to their bank branch to obtain the card. Weird...I don't even qualify for their min requirement income.

I think the credit card industry has always been like this. Soon, the whole market will be flooded with Premier cards and then a new more prestigious card will appear.

I say listen to your wife... MH flies their 20 years old never updated angled lie flat product on a 772 to AMS. Comparing to SQ, even their older J seat blows anything MH has out of the water unfortunately.

BTW just to share, my latest redemption:

KUL-HKG-PVG (CX)
PVG-NRT (JL)
NRT-BKK (JL)
BKK-KUL (RJ)

Ticket worth: RM13,895 http://goo.gl/flights/PB3S

Asiamiles: 80,000 miles + RM1,176.49 in taxes

80*4770 = 381,600 (TP needed)
38,1600/5 = RM76,320
RM76,320-RM1,176 = RM75,143
RM13,895/RM75,143 = 0.185

18.5% return, not bad ah?

Didn't check Enrich because it would have cost 105,000 miles to redeem the same ticket.
*
Should be 13,895/(76,320+1,176) = 17.9%, not much difference thumbup.gif

For me ,

I would better pay the RM800 to Maybank card centre each and each year.

The other Rm79,200 which  I should spend ,

I choose to save  in my  FD A/C  .

Don't waste money la brother ,  Nowadays money hard to earn .

May I know what is the purpose of having the cards but not using them? Why do you want to pay RM800?

Worried once I do that they will announce Paris leg will be downgraded to their B772.

Anyway, to steer this discussion back on topic, what are some tips and tricks you guys have of earning treatpoints on your Maybank 2 Cards Premier? One loophole I've enjoyed previously (and also mentioned by others here) was the conversion of points earned on other cards together with my 2 Cards Premier at the then rate of 4,500: 1000 mile ratio. Another is conversion before refund of certain big online transactions. Any other tips on manufactured spending??

Erm...what do yo mean by that? hmm.gif

Maybank 2 Cards TP are not transferable to Maybank 2 Cards Premier as the rate for redeeming Enrich is different.

To all:

Recently, I log on to my M2U and saw that I was imposed the RM800 annual fee and 6% GST too for my Maybank 2 Cards Premier. And since I did spend the minimum amount to qualify for auto annual fee waiver, RM800 was instantly credited into my account AND best of all, so was RM48 (6% GST)!!! No need to beg them  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Also, just in case for those who are not aware, zenquix posted at Free access to Airport Lounge Thread that Maybank Visa Infinite Supp cards holders are also entitled to UNLIMITED free entries to Plaza Premium Lounge nationwide  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Just wondering if there are any cheapos like me who thinking of getting 4 sup cards to family members so that whole family can enjoy the Plaza Premium Longe and eat for free for family trips? Can ah? Supp cards are free what.

Hi, would be great if someone could help me out.

I am planning to use this card to pay for my uni fees in the UK amounting £20K a year so if it's 5x it would be great. However, I'm not sure if it's 2x or 5x since it's an educational body.

If it's 5x i would use it without hesitation smile.gif

I think all overseas transactions for both cards (Visa and AMEX) is 5X and inclusive of all transactions (including educational bodies).

no separate thread for AsiaMiles for I'm sharing my experience here, since all AM points are from M2Premier.

Took me 1hr 30mins to complete the whole booking process, mainly due to they can't book me MH from KUL-PEN leg and I had to change the flight route on the spot.

Original Plan:
PEN-oHKG-PVG//PEK-oKUL-oLHR-oLIS-MAD//BCN-xDOH-xKUL-PEN
on KA/CX/MH/MH/BA/IB/QR/QR/MH
4 stop over, 2 transit, 2 open jaws
Having to pay KUL-PEN return once to complete, home city from PEN

All flights was shown available except the last leg from KUL-PEN, CS helped me to scan through all dates and unable to book for it (only option is KUL-HKG-PEN, which over the 20k miles gap), forced me to adjust my plan to the following:

KUL-oHKG-PVG//PEK-oKUL-oLHR-oLIS-MAD//BCN-xDOH-KUL
China trip: Dec 2015
Spain: Feb 2016
4 stopover, 2 open jaws, 1 transit

* Notice that I can come back KL in between the journey, never though I can do so.
But I had to purchase PEN-KUL return twice  mad.gif

Flight route: http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=kul-hkg-pvg%0...ul&MS=wls&DU=mi
Total miles: 19670
AsiaMiles required for 2 pax flying all biz class: 240,000
Total tax & surcharges for 2 pax: HKD12,238.00

Assuming MYR/HKD at 1.78, tax & fuel surchages is approx. at MYR6,875, compare to sum up taxes & YQ I obtained from individual FFP, AM(KA, CX, QR), MH, BA(BA, IB) only at MYR4,671. Different of ~MYR2,204

Yet to receive fee detail which CS said will send me separately, but I believe it's high for MH & QR leg.

May I know how long are the stopovers? Is there any time limit? This type of trip planning is very complicated. Is there a good site I can learn more?

I had just made my complaint to the management on the withdrawal of the Priority Pass benefit. At RM 800 annual fees, I don't see it is justified without Priority Pass or equivalent benefits thrown in. I believe every card owners in this thread should do similar complaint feedback as well.

I think to me personally, the PPLs are more important than Priority Pass because I hardly use those lounges when returning.
