Hi, first time post here. Got interested in this 2 card premier after reading genxyz blog.
However been applying and always get rejected, never know the reason. Finally decided to pledge FD last week, today finally got offer letter.

In the letter it was mentioned, if I intend to withdraw the FD, I need to give 3 months written notice. May I know what happen when my FD matures? Does it mean I have to informed them 3 months before FD matures?

Also, does that mean whenever near FD mature I need to go pledge new FD (since my FD is promo 5+5 FD, won't want to let it go to board rate)?

Have anybody after pledging FD, later write to them or "reapply" to make this card permanent ie no longer attached to FD? How do they reassess, via the amount you spend / prompt payment or resubmit new prove of income?

Thanks in advance for info.

So the offer letter you requested or maybank offer ? How much of FD you pledge ?
*
I applied again with all the salary documents etc and told the bank officer, if still not approve tell the card ppl I'm happy to pledge. I pledge 60k, they gave 90k credit limit.

I'm thinking before fd mature I'll write to them see if they allow me to change to no need pledge, or reduce my pledge. Not worth if I continue fd at board rate vs promo rate.

Wow, 90k is a very high credit limit. If you managed to max your limit in one go then you could get 450k TP which can be converted into 94,339 FFP miles.
*
Not sure why they give so high limit, not useful also unless like you say going to swipe once 90k. I would rather just have say 30k, can "load" it to positive balance then swipe if really big sum.
Overall I'm aiming 80k spend per annum which is 400k TP (assuming each time also 5TP / rm1) then can get return long haul business class trip every 1-2 years.

I wonder why is the approval so different, reading here got some easily get approved with 30k credit limit. I've another maybank card with 30k limit and each time I apply (midvalley card centre, branches) the staff will say sure get approved since you have 30k limit. Yet each time not successful till fed up, force to offer to pledge fd.
Oh well.....

I just came back from Maybank branch. I asked the officer to call up card centre and ask why is my credit limit 90k with a 60k fd pledge. Why not approve the card at 30k without any pledge.
And viola on the spot, over the phone, said is approved.
So far checking my m2u, still haven't see the card yet, so still waiting and see, with tempered expectation...

Weirdness lah this card approval process....

FD was set on 1 year duration, auto-renew based on board rate.

I pledge just a small amount so i don't really bother anyway (30k - existing CL given). Really nothing considering the perk this card provide.
*
So you pledge 30k they gave 30k credit limit?

I agree with you on the perks, however just for calculation sake, 30k x difference of promo FD rate eg 4.15 vs board rate 3.40 is 0.75%, that's like paying RM225/year annual fee. Guess its worth it depending on individual, especially if able to accumulate a lot of TP for EP.

Pick up the cards at the Maybank branch today. Finally...

I asked about pin number, apparently Maybank don't give pin number for their credit card to do plus/cirrus ATM withdrawal ?

The other thing i noticed is the expiry date is April, seems to match my other Maybank card. I think this was mentioned before in this forum that Maybank will match up all credit cards to same expiry date.
However, the RM80k spent will be a year from the day I got the card right? ie Oct 2016 rather than April 2016?

Hi, May I know how you receive the offer letter? By mail or by email ?

If I already have an existing Fixed deposit with Maybank, can i just submit the fixed deposit cert to Maybank as pledge or have to uplift and re-placement as pledge ? I have existing fixed deposit with Promo Rate which is not yet mature.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, the offer letter was emailed to my branch relationship manager.

As I ended up didn't pledge fd, what I know is, yes you can pledge the fd. But when mature it will auto renew to board rate. If you want to uplift, according to the terms in the offer letter, you have to inform maybank in writing 3 months in advance.

Hi, I recently got the M2premier and called up to ask for the Priority Pass. Received two courier package today, each with a Priority Pass, both different number. Similar welcome letter - complimentary PP with your Visa Infinite.

Has this happen to anyone before? Does it mean I get 10x entry or if I use either card to 5x I will get charged the 6th time onwards? Not very keen to call them....probably will use just one card till 5x then try once more the other card.

How come u get two cards under one account?

wa, you very lucky
*
I think there must have been a mistake or something. Initially thought maybe each card (visa/amex) get one priority pass each. However the accompanying letter for both say visa infinite.

I'm not sure if lucky because it could be that both card linked to the same visa and I can still only use 5x total both cards. What I'm going to do is after using once, will call up priority pass to ask how many visits left in each card. I hope they know because I cannot see visits left in the priority pass account. This is unlike my citibank (aus) complimentary priority pass the account will should visits remaining.

anyone with M2Premier have HSBC Premier card as well ?

in terms of earned points/charges which is better ?
*
I don't think there's any card that can beat m2premier in terms of earning enrich miles, especially the amex. In terms of charges, I presume you meant for overseas. From what I gather the charges are around 2.3%. Some say higher rates for amex but better exchange rate in europe/usa. I've only used in HK recently and found visa slightly better vs amex.
Sorry I don't have hsbc premier card.

Hilton card only can be obtained by World Master card, VI not eligible.
Priority pass only applicable for principal card holder.

Supp card holder still can use VI to get free access to local PPL.

Can the supplementary world master card get the complimentary gold?

I always forget benefits for visa infinite.

Is it same like amex? Can't find this info in first post and Maybank2u site.

Local: RM 1 : 5x TP
Oversea: RM 1 : 5x TP
2x TP: Government Bodies, Education Institutions and Insurance Providers
*
VI
Local RM1:2xTP
Oversea RM1:5xTP

Amex
Local and Oversea RM1:5xTP
Exception 2xTP for Gov bodies, education institutions and insurance (local, foreign ones ok still 5xTP as far as I know).

I see. I have expressed my interest on their website but it seems nobody is approaching me. My annual income is not reaching 180k unless the dividend is included, but don't think they will look on it, right? Interested on the air miles if manage to get the cards.
*
If really keen to get the card, don't forget you can pledge RM30k FD to get it.

Hi, got a couple of questions.

1. New 2 premier holder, first statement arrived, do I pay each card separately or can I just pay the total due for both cards to one account (either visa or amex).

2. For the complimentary hilton gold, after one year expire, if we still hold the visa infinite, can we ask for another year complimentary gold?

Yes, i can see up to the first day i got my m2gold card, back at 2012

I use the advice of using M2U planner to track my spending to make sure I've spend over the 80k needed for annual fee waiver. Just started using early this month. I am having problem viewing past transaction too. It seems to only having transactions from 1 Dec even though I set the date range say June. Any idea what's wrong? Maybe it will only track from the day I activate the planner?

Hi, may i know how you all pay for these 2 cards? Separately ie 2 separate payments for due amount of each card or just one transfer of the total balance to either card account?

Currently having dinner at KLIA2 Green Market using the maybank 2 card premier. Excellent salad and katsu don.

I tried to ask the staff which other card can enter and how many times per year allowed, she wasn't very sure.

Anybody knows does usage of Green Market comes from our annual allocation of entry to Plaza Premium Lounge ?

Is this card pin enable?

When I got this card, I asked about the pin. They say nowadays they don't issue pin unless customer specifically ask for it.
