If you want lounge access just "get" a Star Alliance/Oneworld elite card on Taobao instead
 As for the miles strategy, I credited my first 30k into Asia Miles and used them together with my balance to upgrade myself to CX first for an upcoming trip. 50k to upgrade from US West Coast to HKG- not too bad! I would credit to Krisflyer if I wanted to book full award tickets instead of upgrades, though. |

If you're getting <40k miles a year I would say this card isn't worth it now.
