First condition though is you must have a US based SSN, if you don't know what this is then you're almost 99% confirmed  that you can't have US based credit cards.

But to answer your question, I've been with Chase, Citibank, Amex and most recently BoA for years, have collected millions of miles as well. The biggest score for most of these US based banks are the sign up bonuses of up to 100k miles on the various programs and at my peak I'd be signing up for 6-10 cards per year. As a comparison, KL to US/Europe is around 110k miles return on CX business and you pay airport taxes as low as US$7. KL to Auckland is around 35k miles in Thai economy with airport taxes around US$65. Lots of fantastic value and competition, but unless you have a SSN there's almost zero way to join the fun. Visit flyertalk one of these days and read up more there.

Having said that though, there's plenty of opportunities with Asia Miles and Krisflyer with the Maybank 2 Premiere cards and MH Enrich short distance redemption are still pretty good options. I just don't know what to do when my RM800 annual fee comes up

FWIW I just cancelled my Maybank 2 Platinum cards and transferred my 350k TP to my Maybank 2 Premiere cards.

Aiyah, I forgot to ask MBB CS if Supp card entries combined or separate but I got a strong feeling it is combined. That's why I reactivated my stand alone VI.

At first glance this looked interesting, but then:

1. applies only for NEW cardholders, existing cardholders don't qualify
2. rate of return is roughly 1-1.5% although admittedly on top of whatever TP you earn. Spend RM200k and get a free RM3k ticket?

For me this is just meh.

Just call the card centre and tell them you want to apply. They will send you an application form follow by the required documents. Fill it up and email them back the forms and docs..

Or even better, if you're holding high credit rating ask them to go ahead and process it without documents~! They did that for me..

Then who will still apply lower rank card since they can just pledge 30k or 50k to get this card? I think 30k should be non issue for who eligible for a normal platinum card which require at least 60k income per annum.

In terms of strategy, you could technically apply for the Premiere card and use it only for 1 year to avoid the RM800 annual fee. Prior to cancelling you can transfer everything to KF and still save on RM800 annual fee.
