Wow, you dine there even before having privileges? Which restaurants do you recommend? TQ
*
Highly recommend PRIME at Le Meridien KL Sentral & Prego at The Westin (opposite of Pavilion).

PRIME specialise in steaks but it's is kind of costly and in the other hand, Prego serve great Italian dishes at an affordable price.

Do try out Prego's Risotto, mouth-wateringly yummy, imagine how the smooth melting cheese slide through your tongue and the rich flavor of mushroom mixed with cheese lingers around the tip of your nose, every bite make me feel like I'm rolling on beds of Cheeseee Lands. drool.gif

What a steal to dine in at a comfortable ambience at only 50% for 2 person and to make it better, the 10% service charge + 6% tax is only applicable on after discount price that make the next visit so tempting! tongue.gif

can supplementary card enter this Plaza Premium Lounge Gateway @ KLIA 2?

just now my gf called PPL Gateaway@KLIA2, they say m2premier supp card cannot go in there, so i was confused, maybank card center say eligible to enter, but plaza there say no.. any1 tried before?
*
My personal experience is that for the Maybank 2 Card Premier Supplementary cardholder not to mention they are using Supp card will do the trick.

As I had supp the Premier card to my gf and she is able to enter local PPL free for few times without any issue.

The only thing is that the receptionist will swipe the Premier card and request the cardholder to sign the transaction slip (suppose to be zero charges).

Hope the above helps. smile.gif

Once swiped, then they send the transaction slip to MBB.
MBB then check thru and found out it's sup card.. Will they charge back? rclxub.gif

According to my understanding of Malaysia's Consumer Right, bank or merchant has no right to charge a cardholder's account without their consent, so the answer is no. smile.gif

QUOTE(bearbear @ Mar 10 2015, 08:50 PM)
my primary also need to sign. what's the difference?
*
Me too signed as a Principal cardholder, I asked the receptionist and they said that they need the signed copy as a proof to claim back from the bank. smile.gif

QUOTE(apj8188 @ Mar 11 2015, 07:04 AM)
Yea mbb VS principal also need to sign.

I believe it's does not depend on card type, instead they just need the signed copy as a proof to claim back from the bank.  smile.gif

I suppose thats a procedure for them to have better traceability. Nth to do with charges.
*
Agree, if at all there is charges, it will indicate on the slip itself. smile.gif

the slip you signed already mean you consent for them to charge you if there is any charges..
*
Sign copy with charges means they got the cardholder consent to charge the said amount on the slip, but if sign on slip without charges and doesn't indicate the TnC of applicable charges means they have no right to charge thereafter.

At least that's my understanding, please do correct me if I'm wrong. tongue.gif

Is pricing stated on the chit?

I just sign without reading laugh.gif
*
If there are charges means it will be stated on the slip, if zero charges mean no pricing which is normal for complimentary entry.  smile.gif

Better to take a glance to see if they charge or not else you buta-buta pay for unnecessary charges. biggrin.gif

Do you golf @kinabalu?
*
Speaking of golf, I have always interested to pick this up as a new hobby since Maybank Premier card is giving the benefits of complimentary green fees.

The issue is to find another 2 golfer on weekend game which either pay the green fee or each of them also holding Maybank Premier card which all could enjoy complimentary green fee.

So anyone here interested to golf? tongue.gif

One of my friend tested with about RM15K, and it's still work, just few months ago..

Agree on the above.

I had exceeded my own credit limit few times without any issues, but it's just over by no more than 4k and there is no over limit charges.

I paid and swipe again and repeat for few time in the time frame of a week without any issue. wink.gif

Quick question, PP is free for 5 times per year or ?
*
According to Maybank's website, the Priority Pass Airport Lounge allow the cardholder to enjoy 5 times complimentary access ANNUALLY to airport lounges worldwide.

So, it's 5 times free access per year. wink.gif

so the per year follow calendar year or your card expiry date?
for e.g card expiry is 06/16..so the per year from 6/2014 to 6/2015?
*
I just take a look on my Priority Pass and the expiration date is 2 years from my Premier card issuance month.

Example: Premier card issued on December 2014, Priority Pass validity last till December 2016.

Still, it will be better to call up and check with Maybank directly to clarify.

My experience tells me that their staffs are not well train and different people give you different answer, just pick the answer that you prefer and log down the call time & date to use it against them should things doesn't goes as what they claim in the call. biggrin.gif

I worked in bank so I know how to turn thing around when dealing with bank staffs. tongue.gif

Hi all,

My cards were just approved. Yay! time to rack up them enrich miles!

Couple of questions though:-
1. This card is eligible for the Valet club right? i go to KPJ damansara quite often as my son's Paed is there so this will definitely come in handy. Has anyone tried ? since there is a limit of 400 per month, has anyone been turned down>?

2. The Plaza premium lounge in KLIA 2 worth going? I reckon we don't really have much time to lounge around anyways as walking time to the gate in KLIA 2 is considerable! especially is you take Malindo Air. The gate is on the other side of the world...

3. Has anyone managed to get an annual fee waiver if spending does not reach 80k p/annum? if you have, please share what was your spending for that year so can gauge what is Maybank's threshold on flexibility for annual fee waiver

4. Have anyone used the AMEX reserve and Entre benefits? worth it? or might as go elsewhere with cheaper rates

Thanks in advance for your feedbacks! cheers
*
Congratulation on the new privileges!! rclxms.gif

1.) As per my understanding, Premier card do not get to enjoy the Valet services like Visa Signature does.

2.) This highly depends on people's perception as everyone has different preferences. What I can say is that the foods is very simple and taste normal or bland at times, the drinks are fine as they do prepare hot beverages such as teh tarik, milo and coffee as well as carbonated drink and can drink such as soy bean & chrysanthemum, and not to forget beer in certain PPL.

Considering it's complimentary and you need not fork out RM20-30 to enjoy simple food, why not?

And you get to have some space, shower amenities, free WiFi... etc

3.) No idea as I just hold the card since December 2014, however I do read some of the LYN members here said that Maybank do not waive the annual fee if the spending is less than 80k per annum.

4.) As for the Amex Entre benefits, you have to do a manual check accordingly with other sources as at times it may be slightly higher or lower.

Any idea as to how I "show them the money"?

Probably the easiest would be placing FD or credit it into your Maybank current or saving account. smile.gif

Thanks QPheng & bearbear for your replies.

no valet service ? damn...

for like the wellness spa, we still have to pay for their massage services right?

"theBar" is also listed under PPL... are the food and drinks served there free as well?
*
Yup, they have a list of price range for the massage services.

Yet to patronize theBar so no idea. tongue.gif
