While it loses the 5% CB, the key benefit is the lower TP to Enrich exchange rate (similar to MBB VI) at 4500 TP to 1000 Enrich while maintaining the 5x points earned.
Still not as worthwhile as the normal MBB 2 cards since that's also 5x with 5% CB on weekends and 7000 TP to 1000 Enrich, UNLESS you spend a lot and travel a lot and really do make use of the Enrich points especially during their Enrich sale.

Since VI is part of the 2 Premier.. anybody successfully get the RM800 waiver? Didn't spend RM50k. Only around ~RM20k.

QUOTE(Reventon @ Feb 17 2015, 10:32 AM) Last year i request for cancellation if the fee is not waivable , the retention dept doesnt make any offer as well so the VI was cancelled. Maybe i didnt spend too much on VI due to all big purchases are on my Amex , i ask if spending on Amex could take into account then i should able to get the waiver but cannot. The 5x TP is just much better so in the end still using amex for payment haha I guess if annual fee cannot be waived, I will cancel VI and apply for M2C Premier come April. And the cycle continues...

QUOTE(echoesian @ Feb 25 2015, 11:02 PM) Anyone here tried to ask for annual fee waiver? I did. Rejected and didn't have the courtesy to contact me and tell me. I say cancel the card and they asked me to pay the GST RM50. I said screw you I ain't paying for a card that I don't have. Then he said its policy and that because I used the card after GST was charged. I said I'm not aware of it. If they charge me that fee I'm going to write to BNM and screw Maybank because they fail to inform me the RM50 GST charge. My SMS notification is set at RM1 but I never received the SMS about the RM50 charge. How would I know when they charge the GST and to stop using the card. It's a freaking trap frankly.

QUOTE(Rooivalkx @ Apr 7 2015, 02:25 PM) That's where they misunderstood the Customs directive. No other bank is charging GST on mile conversion. As the leading bank in Malaysia. Do you think they would misunderstand GST? Or they "misunderstood" GST. This is downright illegal. This post has been edited by Jason: Apr 10 2015, 10:51 PM
