Will it possible to get the premier card even though i didn't meet the income requirement

I don't wish to pledge the FD but I do have Maybank Visa Signature (20k limit)
*
I wouldnt bet on it. My 1st application got rejected cause I didnt meet the income requirement. Back then I had Visa Ikhwan Platinum.

lol , the MBB really does inflate alot on their product. TP is such a good reward when their harvey norman 9700 TP to RM50 and evergreen makes it just the best reward on market.
Not sure keeping two type of 2kard or not. But the weekend 5% easily cover the RM50 GST. Maybe should but wallet become thicker lol
*
9700TP for Rm50 Harvey Norman? Not 12500TP?

I think he was referring to the back then period, before the previous round of TP inflation.

Ah, I see... Thanks!

from 9700TP -> 12500TP -> 20000TP  doh.gif

more than 100% inflate since launch.

Does the latest coming inflation affect M2C Premier points to redeem vouchers? All MBB website says is that Airmiles won't get affected.

maybank cc sales agent shared with me this method:
# apply CL increase first, better attach income proof, and also proof of other bank offer you high limit
# if your CL successfully increased to 30k or more, then you can straight away apply m2premier without attaching any income proof, no pledge needed.
*
This is proven method?

My last card, Visa Ikhwan Platinum had limit 30k, original was 15k. I requested for higher limit due to expected spending (travelling overseas for almost 1month, holiday trip so expected to spend a lot). It got approved. A long while after I requested the higher limit, I applied to M2C Premier and was rejected because didn't meet the income requirement. cry.gif

Got promoted, pay rise, met the income requirement, re-applied for the card and was approved. They offered 50k limit if I'm not mistaken but I asked for 30k only. Now probably gonna have to request for higher limit again... rclxub.gif

Hello there!

I just tried to redeem Harvey Norman vouchers at Citta Mall. They said I had to buy something and they'll deduct from my treatpoints. Not give paper vouchers. Is this true?

Has anybody actually redeemed paper vouchers from Harvey Norman?

they don't have paper voucher like RM50, RM100...

it works this way:
- select the things u want to buy, they need to know the amount
- they will redeem the exact TP from your account (not reversible, if you changed ur mind, then the point will be forfeited)

Hello,

Anybody here has any experience buying a car and paying it in full using credit card? Obviously for the points. I'm talking about increasing your credit card limit to say RM200,000 and swiping it to buy a RM200,000 car.

I did it once to pay the difference between home loan and actual house price. A little over RM100,000 but back then I didn't get the approval to increase my credit limit straight to RM100,000. So instead, I swiped 4 times. 3x RM30,000 (which is my credit limit) and final swipe of RM10,000, each time clearing it before swiping again.

Possible bank will allow to increase credit limit to RM200,000?

Yes, I have cash in hand.

Yes, I'm buying a car.

Credit limit of RM200K? Not that easy...

So there is a way?

Like I mentioned, I have the cash in hand to buy the car outright. Just prefer swiping to get the points.

Bank in the money in advance to your cc account. you will then have +ve balance to swipe?

Me aslo thinking like this... Still can earn points.
Bank nowadays controlled CL. Really miss those days whereby spent more spent high, easy to get CL increased..
*
I thought of this way too But doesnt your credit limit still apply? Doesnt matter if you have +ve balance of RM200,000 if you can only swipe up to RM30,000. Does it?

The new CL will be exciting CL + the top up cash.. nod.gif

This is proven?

It be a shame if I dump RM200,000 into the card and cant swipe it up to that figure.

I want to increase my credit limit too. Even for a day for a single swipe. Care to share how much your income is? If you're comfortable and dont mind, of course.

I dont make that much on my income, roughly RM20,000 but fluctuates greatly. However, I have ready cash and aset. Just a matter of convicing the banks of it only.

Two ways I can think of.

First have you tried asking Maybank directly instead of asking here? Tell them exactly what you want to do and show them the money. Temporary credit limit increase is usually allowed although I have no idea by how much.

Also did you ask the car dealer if you can do it all at once? Are they willing to cover the 2% or whatever charges they have to pay? If Maybank isn't and the car dealer is willing, ask the car dealer to do it in 2-3 swipes. Sure you don't get the car the same day biggrin.gif but maybe in 3-4 days.

Any idea as to how I "show them the money"?

Hello all!

Yesterday at KLCC, wife wanted handbag. Told her she can have it if credit card swipe goes through. My limit was rm30k. Handbag was more expensive. To my surprise, the transaction went through!

Can we actually swipe for transactions above our CL? Seems so in my case.

Handbag with price more than 30K?

It is possible for Maybank as per told by one of the CS last time. But, it is depend on the amount exceeded and bank decision.

Handbag price was terrible... rclxub.gif

I just figured the transaction won't go through cause I was already close to my limit. Buying the handbag will definitely exceed by alot! Dam surprised when it still went through.

There are few options as below. But it is very costly and no advise at all to do that/

Cash advance / dial for cash / personal loan with credit card and get the money to pay the loan.
If bank offer a low interest rate (lower than the loan rate), then can consider. Otherwise, do not consider it at all.

Should have mentioned I have the cash to pay upfront. Just wanna try paying using credit card. If can, will earn a lot of treatpoints brows.gif

One of my post a few threads back mentioned I'm trying to buy a car (pay full amount) using credit card. tongue.gif

Does anybody here knows if treat point redemption at Harvey Norman still available? I've checked the latest treat points catalog and it doesn't mention Harvey Norman anymore.

Yesterday went to Harvey Norman to buy dining table chairs but forgot to ask...
