Looking at current TP value, the shaking MAS and the limited choice from AsiaMiles and Krisflyer, I really wonder should I keep using this card.
Already switch some over Hong Leong Fortune now.. |

Yeah it's become somewhat less attractive recently, Enrich miles are still not that bad if you book during promotion periods though.Already switch some over Hong Leong Fortune now.. |

QUOTE(aspartame @ May 29 2015, 06:57 AM) May I know what is the purpose of having the cards but not using them? Why do you want to pay RM800? It depends on your cost vs benefit. Let's say you are a frequent flyer. PP & local PPL entrance already cover more than annual fee. But then again, there are other cards that provide entry to PPL too. There are also dining benefits at hotels. It really depends on how you utilise your cards. |

QUOTE(iamWill @ May 29 2015, 10:38 AM) If they drop long haul routes MAS isn't interesting for me at all anymore, or if they ditch their A380s too. Would rather use Emirates et al on those routes as an alternative. At least BA flies to KL now too but they don't have A380 Time to look for a new card soon maybe. |

Have been eyeing seats for Paris in Sept but that route is rumoured to be chopped or downgraded. Anything other than their A380s would be a waste of time IMHO. Prudent thing to do I suppose is to redeem the London route which apparently has a higher chance of being maintained, at least for now. What would you guys do? (I'm aiming for 4 seats at 127,500 miles for Business return). |

I think the amount of miles for LHR > KUL is reasonable considering the costs on other airlinesI think if for September you should be fairly safe still. What happens though if eg. you book Business class flight with miles and it gets cancelled? Normally if we pay full price we have protection through travel insurance from credit card - how does this apply if the majority of the value spent is in Enrich miles? |

Ah I thought taxes are normally refundable even if miss the flight, not sure about cancellations. Anyway going a bit OT now I'm going to see if there's any better cards for me to get now that this has become less attractive. At least made good use of it whilst it lasted |

I check and the redemption still open until next year April.if they really going to chopped the route, most probably they will divert you to another airline or refund. i do receive email from Enrich mentioning those ticket already purchase, they will honour it QUOTE(rjb123 @ May 29 2015, 12:46 PM) I'm not sure ... Ya, the next question is whether to book the Paris route which is really what we want or the London route to increase the likelihood of us getting on the A380. I have no intentions of flying any other type of aircraft from MAS other than the A380. |

It will be a shame if MH1 is not in service anymore. Paris-wise , i don't know, maybe downgrade to B772 , maybe got axed. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ May 29 2015, 02:13 PM) Worried once I do that they will announce Paris leg will be downgraded to their B772. Anyway, to steer this discussion back on topic, what are some tips and tricks you guys have of earning treatpoints on your Maybank 2 Cards Premier? One loophole I've enjoyed previously (and also mentioned by others here) was the conversion of points earned on other cards together with my 2 Cards Premier at the then rate of 4,500: 1000 mile ratio. Another is conversion before refund of certain big online transactions. Any other tips on manufactured spending?? |
