tried typing on some of the mechanical keyboard available there but couldn't feel the appeal.

I am not sure your finger got sensing problem or not.
You can't tell different switch feeling?

according to Google, the stock spacebar on the K65 is 6.5 sized.

I am not certain about what that means but I know that 6.5 sized spacebar is not a standard one, right?
