hey I was wondering, since I've just got my ducky shine 3. Is it possible to remap email button to pause/play media button?
cause I dont think I'll be using this key to check my email .

Yup. It's possible to remap the top right 4 media keys to any keys you want. Even to macro and script.
You can use software like AutoHotKey in Windows, KeyRemap4MacBook for mac.
Only FN key in Ducky Shine is not remappable.

how do I even use that software? i mean How do i get the special key for these 4 buttons. It's not in the AutoHotkey Help

From the picture above, Ducky Shine 3 got 4 media keys on the right.
Calculator, PC, Mail, Home

Calculator is SC121
PC is SC16B
Mail is SC16C
Home is SC132


Let's say you want to remap the Calculator to 'R' keystroke,
PC to Ctrl+C

in the AutoHotKey.ahk file, you edit,

SC121::R
SC16B::^C

It worked! Thank you mate . I love you <3

SC121::Media_Play_Pause
SC16B::Media_Next
SC16C::Media_Prev

any1 knows if Ducky shine 3 has any known issue with LEDs not lighting up? my first customer @tekkok just got his kb and 3 LEDs not functioning. doesnt seem to be widespread, AFAIK, but good reputation Ducky having this sort of problem seems to be weird, imo...

Further more, Shine 3 assembled in Taiwan where QC supposed to be higher than Zero series assembled in China..

Yup. Everytime windows start need to run.

You can put in startup folder, so everytime start windows, will auto start for you.

My ducky Shine 2 got 1 LED not functioning too. Seldom turn light on, but got this small issue too.
Even good QC doesn't mean don't have small issues.

Funny thing is zero shine no problem. Go China!

Because mostly custom keycaps are for keycaps and the look, not for the LED. LED is a gimmick that attract people to try mech kb. There is PBT with shine thru legends but only few released, and yeah nothing special.

RMA just for the sake of ONE/ SATU LED. Took weeks without keyboard, who knows can take month. That's why non-LED keyboard are better. But well, no LED, no style.

Tell him there's no perfect product. He can't avoid the LED issue, just ask him to send for RMA. And wait for weeks.

You should think in another way.
Actually, the keyboard is designed by Ducky, but manufactured in sub-con..
Sub-con sourced the manufacturing parts from other factory and vendors like usb cables, LED, plastics caps, frame, Cherry keyswitch etc with the agreement of Ducky company.

The Quality control are controlled by sub-con QC engineers and resident engineer from Ducky.
The Ducky keyboard is in good QC, but not necessary LED parts are in tip top condition. Maybe just barely pass the QC in the home LED factory.
Every part have the defects per part million %, not all are perfect. So, some LED will fail too.

Not really true that QC in China is lower than Taiwan, but for sure the parts used in Taiwan definitely expensive than China.

Anyone can confirm whether this is the DS PBT variant or normal coated ABS one?

But last time there is a Korean variant which using those normal coated ABS/PC.

Hence I am skeptical to see if Marehsia one is which... Or anyone here know which variant is it available in SG?

You make me feel so glad that I got one without LEDs. Still loving my Ducky, got myself used to the feel of the PBT and it feels really nice.
