Yesh. Close to RM 800 all in this round. I just wanna see if Imsto is close to the quality of SP or not, and if they are, my end-game keycaps are already here. Then I can focus on getting my TKL custom or the ergodox custom.

QUOTE(justordinary @ Mar 4 2014, 05:30 AM)
Ducky shine 3 are using cherry stabilizers as well?

Filco are using costar stabs? I remember trying shine 2 brown vs majestouch 2 brown and majestouch just feels so much nicer.
*
Ducky uses Cherry stabs. Personally, I am starting to prefer Costar stabs, but if you use good keycaps (solid and doesn't wobble) then cherry might be better because it's easier to fix up.

Took me a good 30 minutes to get all my modifiers and spacebar in. All the while scared that things will break.

Used to take me about 10mins to fit in the spacebar lol. Now it's less than 10seconds biggrin.gif
*
First time doing this shit. What I do is to put the stabs in, then hook one side and push a bit hard to the end and hope I pushed far enough for the hook to get in. Also made the stupid mistake of installing my modifiers last.

i would like to do the same with my mamba. really hate the feel of rubber coated.
make my palm sweating. care to help me in a way? smile.gif

Sandpaper. Finest grit possible, polish in a circular motion.

I hate razor since my Onza died.

wew. using sandpaper eh? blink.gif
damn scary. but i will find a video first... such scary method ahhaha...
thanks bro!!!

It's easy if you are willing to get your hands dirty. The proper method is to use coarse grit sandpaper first to remove the outer layer, then use finer and finer grit until you have a consistent surface.

For mouse, I recommend using circular motion beginning from the point where your palm touches the mouse, and go in circular motion.

Start with coarse grit, then switch to medium and then switch to fine grit. It's important to be consistent with pressure because if pressure consistent then you can repeat the sanding over the layer as long as same grit. End with fine grit to give it that matte look.

Bonus now is that you can spray paint it.

If keyboard, I suggest going single direction (probably length-wise).

Just simply use oil, to rub the rubber surface until it clean.
Oil = minyak.
Here is the result picture.

I'm waiting for my mouse warranty run out then I will sand it. I hate glossy surface. Last time I sanded the poor mouse then the result look so bad... then only I googled how to do it properly tongue.gif

So, you mean you not yet successful sanding it properly?
Just use oil, then after the coating remove only start to sand it.
*
I'm using a sensei RAW. Glossy surface attracts fingerprints. I don't like.

Last time sanded a cheapo mouse and then it looks like shiat, so now I'm gonna sand it properly. I watched many youtube videos, so I should be pro by now.

KMAC is one of the very decent custom to go with.
soilid built, solid typing feel.

you wont go wrong with any metal casing, provided the plate/pcb is mounted properly to give good feeling.

ini kmac happy lah  laugh.gif

I thought you have touched a few of the metal kbds out there during gathering?
*
I was a pleb back then.

I got my Filco and I straight away used it non-stop at home. Only reason my KBT is still being used is that the Filco is too noisy and too heavy for daily carry. That's coming from someone who didn't really like blues. Filco is that good compared to ducky, and I was lucky to get it at a steal.

Now I just curious only because my end-game keep changing, but I need to explore first biggrin.gif

there's no end game tbh.
even though i got kmac i still want more.

There has to be a point where I touch the keyboard and say,

"This. This is what I was looking for all my life. Upon this keyboard I will recount the tales of my life."

Then quit my job and pursue my dreams.

kmac2 looks better imo

Yeah, agree. KMAC seems better, but I hate 60% layout.

IS there a TKL KMAC?

doh.gif Sigh, saw your selling thread already too late, ordered from him already since last week.
Btw I'm ordering Filco Ninja TKL MX Brown, many suggest to get Brown for a starter, so a beginner like me should stick with Brown first. blush.gif
Next time, maybe got extra cash may add another keyboard... sweat.gif then sure look for you.
*
Brown for general use.

Blue for Doto.

Topre for God.
