When i use iTunes or Quicktime the sound is slow/decent as artyca and lokgotz said, then if i use VLC, the sound is higher, so i think the speaker is not really cheap lorr.. maybe need update from Aapple lorr..
Btw did'nt test the sound in XP bcoz i only use parrallels for my visual basic project only, other things were crap in XP |

Yep any 3.5mm Speakers..It would work fine
