QUOTE(darknessz @ Nov 23 2006, 10:35 AM) frankly speaking i wont spend near 300 bux just for a keyboard . how frequent do u look at the LCD screen at ur keyboard when u are busy fragging ? i admit the macro function helps alot , but oh well...its still about user preferences in the end wat u say it's true.. haha.. user preferences... when i'm busy fragging still got time to look at the lcd.. hahaha... |

QUOTE(ianho @ Nov 24 2006, 11:28 AM) That LCD is extremely useful for extreme overclockers. I use it to keep tabs on the system while gaming. Of course I dont look at it while fragging. u see, darkness even Ianho agrees.. ahaha.. The LCD screen will be worth ur every penny. |

QUOTE(darknessz @ Nov 24 2006, 11:56 AM) haha...thing is we are talking about the functionality of the LCD when u are gaming . the g15 wouldn't be named a gaming keyboard for no reason ( beside the macro key )..but still , i can't see the full potential of the LCD during gaming . as Ianho said , he wouldn't even look at the LCD when he is busy fragging yes, the LCD is not fully optimized yet, but.. there are few websites where they are creating apps for the LCD which are very cool.. Did u know tat the LCD can hav a virtual pet? hahah... din expect tat huhof course i do amazed by wat the LCD can do eg show temperature , display pics etc =) |

QUOTE(Handsomeboy @ Nov 25 2006, 08:27 PM) Compare to logitech G15 with the Razer Tarantula , which one better?? the G15 can like tarantura has multiple keys to be simultaneously pressed?? Can't say which one better..For me, in terms of price... G15 cheaper (offers a small LCD screen, 18x3 macro keys), Tarantula Expensive ( no LCD screens, no backlight(certain keys only, etc)... G15 have multiple keys to be simultaneously pressed as well but certain keys only coz when i play O2JAM, can't press all 7 keys 2gether which i set. |

About the glossy finish, saw the video reviews saying that the keyboard is very easy to leave finger prints on it which is uncool.

QUOTE(dualshock @ Dec 3 2006, 07:48 PM) whether the tarantula is worth it or not, it's actually very much dependent on individual...since both g15 and the tarantula are almost the same in terms of pricing... well, u're wrong about the pricing.. tarantula is 345.. I got my G15 below 300. to me, i'm not really a hardcore gamer. i choose the tarantula over the g15 simply because i like the design and the comfort. the typing feel on this tarantula is much much better compared to my previous microsoft elite. i wouldn't compare it with the g15 cos i've never used one... i can safely say that i'm going to stick to this keyboard for a very long time...as long as it doesn't go down on me... |
the pricing that you gave is a bit biased though.we have to at least compared both in retail pricing.in fact you can get tarantula at 345 while g15 at 339...and iirc, i did mentioned that it's ALMOST the same in terms of pricing... come on...why argue over figures...we all know that both keyboard's pricing are at about the same range...
nah, i got my G15 for 310 from C-Zone
hahaha... see, even littlelinnet got it cheap.. i actually got it for 279 ler.. Rm70 difference with tarantula.. figures to me , tat's a lot dude.. hehehe |
