ppl still use normal microsoft or logitech keyboards for gaming.

the everglide gaming keyboard is CRAP.

i tried it in lowyat during the BF2 tournament, sometimes the key doesnt respond, sometimes respond slowly.
and the reason is under the keys is just one big circuit with electronic sensors, thats what makes it so quiet and also so crappy.

i using red saitek eclipse, no complains also.

the everglide, i mentioned before is pure crap.
one of my friends just used it also in a competition in SG, the W key stopped working halfway

those protected games not sure.
but i know for punkbuster protected games etc, it detects macros.

just be aware that there are two types of newtouch.
the old one is the most preferred by the fps crowd.
the new one you can actually hear the springs under the keys, lack of feel etc etc.

no need to think

old one isnt as curvy in design.

heres what my WASD keys look like after about a yr of FPS.
the worn out is not that noticeable yet...
but my left CTRL key is very noticeable cos its one of my most used keys also that time in BF2.

mostly due to fingernail scrapes cos my CTRL key is hit by the tip of my little finger, so the nail scrapes it abit.
so yea, if you hit the keys properly i dont see the letters wearing out.

IIRC, software boutique in SS2 also has a red eclipse there.
you can also get them to order the blue one for you if its still available.

pressing all keys is one thing.
how fast the keys respond is another.

some got very very slight lag, you will notice it if you play alot of games.

uhh, someone a few posts up just said the first edition is still available at harvey norman.

thats why buy that gaming keyboard, whatever its called again, that has all black keys with no letters on it.

i've been a long time razer fan.
but am not getting the tarantula, mainly cos it has BLUE lights.
same reason why i didnt get the razer headset, instead opted for steelsound.
i do have razer earphones tho for my handphone

razer are slowly seeing the (green) light again now, thankfully.
tho i doubt a GREEN light tarantula will ever come out, at least the boomslang CE is green

the nostromo still has not enough keys for me in both UT and Battlefield.
and switching schemes is not fast enough for me

for UT...lemme try to recall...i need at least a 5,5,5 row layout...need to map all the weapons around WASD...so which the n52 falls short.
for battlefield...lol...5,5,5 is way short of what i need...i need something like 5,6,6,2 row layout.
for casual play i'll need even more...so yea nothing beats a full sized keyboard

eh that split second where you change profiles...or like reach all the way to the other end of the keyboard for some weapons...usually means death.
everything must be close to the WASD

i know what i need...
go bug damn razer again to release keyboards with GREEN lights...!#!@#!@$!@#
