hmm... why gaming keyboard? Just a BELKIN NOSTROMO would be good enough isn't it?
In fact, I find that all these gaming keyboards are purely hype, nothing special.
The fact that placing keys in DVORAK or QWERTY positioning is not ideal for gaming. Z-Board would be a gaming 'board' but not quite a keyboard in nature.
And I expect degree of pressures from the key; imagine keys on the keyboard that response to how deep or how rapid you tap the keys and perform the necessary action on the game? Like say car racing simulation, a key for throttle, another for clutch.
Imagine one finger on 50% of the clutch key while the other on full throttle and another finger braking gradually while drifting? Balancing?
Or games on diffusing bomb? Snipping some wire and moving the bomb to a safe location carefully tapping those keys at 20~25% degree of hardness?
welp, more key strokes at once, more responsive keys....the most important thing, yeah, the hype, i'm a gamer, i'm rich, i have the cash to spend, i got my "pro" equipments, i feel good.
i prefer normal keyboards than those weird placement of keys which we cant type/chat in game. i find it ideal for games. car simulation on a keyboard for a gamer? you must be kidding me. buy a racing wheel. hardness is totally pointless for FPS gamers...i only need hyper response(tm) keys plus some macros. the tapping tasks could always be assigned to my mighty copperhead.
btw, the steelkeys looks typical...i wonder if the key will make noise with all springs over each single keys...haha...wonder how much is it. cool idea of changable keys tho...
