as for Slaine, he is gonna be alive and treated by Saazbum mostly to get him on his side. Saazbum can now claim that Cruhteo is evil and that is why he attacked Cruhteo to save him. Imho, what he wanted was a way to get Aldnoah to work without relying on the royalty which is why Slaine is so important to him being alive (else he would just let Cruhteo kill Slaine and everything would be fine as he launched directly after closing the call).
