I'd open a public bank account a few years ago due to my previous working company need it to direct bank in the salary. After stop working in that company i very seldom use that account only use it to do some small amount transaction. Until last month when i want to deposit money in that account with machine it shows me something like "ACCOUNT INACTIVE / ACCOUNT UNAVAILABLE". I think it's because usually i just do transaction online and didn't deposit any money in and the account has been less than rm20 in it that's why it's inactive.
But i wanted to know if i go to the bank to deposit money in it and request to use back the same account number is it possible?
*I'd call to the bank but they call me to go to bank only can check. I'm working actually so i can't just go to the bank and wait for a few hours to check. Especially after wait for a long time but in the end if they can't give me what i want.. Just wanted to know any sifu can tell me is it possible to get back the same account number?
THANKS

All you need to do is just bring your IC & yourself to PB bank and let them know that you want to activate your account.

THANKS It's a simple task for them...should be less than 45min, they need ic and to do the checking...transaction or not it must be cash out in cash at least once a year else it will be inactive, you should change to your current address as when they do it they will first send a warning letter.
