Any idea whats the problem if my watch sometimes stopped moving? Need to press the button then it stopwatch reset button only it resume.

Hi there, I have a watch that I sent to replace battery and adjust the band size at a watch shop. The guy there was very rough with my watch with the way he pry open the back cover with a knife and hammer my band link pins (which was spring type) and resulted in scratches and slight dents. Are you able to polish them off?
