Modifying Dell Dimension 8100, Any ideas?

i hv freakin' ol' machine...a Dell Dimension 8100.
changed nothing xcept for da GC.
planning swap da psu?but not really sure bout it.worrying bout psu cant fit.
also wanting to keep da machine cool.
any idea how?
any forumers who's got da same machine, mayb u would like to share wit me some ideas?

Dell always uses proprietary PSUs n stuff. I highly doubt u can change the PSU. Anyway, pix pix pix pix!

what do u mean by proprietery PSU's ??? Custom made for DELL itself ?? I think i saw a shop in lowyat selling PSU's in different size and shape... I think its 2 - 3 doors down beside Overclockers Paradise...

usually the green thingy are for hot air to be suck out from CPU.. i got 1, the green thingy really need coz dell usually use passive heatsink for cooling the proc.. as long the hot air sukc out or the heatsink get cool enough, i think it wil work fine..

Hey, I have a Dell at home too. Dell Dimesion 8300, now collecting dust because I have no idea how to mod it  IIRC, you'll definitely need to cut a hole at the back of the casing because Dell's PSUs don't have a switch, so there no hole for it ... Unless you plan to stick with the original PSU which can only be used with Dell motherboards
