Seeing Young, Kagawa played the full 90 minutes, I would expect them to be subs for the next game. Mata, Rooney, Welbeck and Valencia/Janujaz to play vs.

City. Yes, Valencia has been below par in terms of his attacking play this season, but he is useful as both him and Welbeck to be the "runner" in the team. Can't

have too many of the number 10's.

Re: last night's game, Rooney must have been watching Welbeck in training. Play with that one touch flicks and whatnots. Welbeck is such an intelligent

footballer. Not yet a clinical striker, but a good all round footballer nonetheless. If he can improve his finishing and decision making, he would be up there.

Maybe not Ronaldo/Messi level sweat.gif but would still be a very good player.

3 defenders sounds like 1 too many, but otherwise......  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

1 quality LB, 1 back-up(?) RB and 1 experienced CB? LB and RB is the priority, as Rafael is quite injury-prone. Coleman of Everton (of course!) is rumoured to be

DM next target. The most obvious and most talked priority of position to be strengthen this coming summer, for at least 3 years already, is that CM position.

Particularly creative type. yawn.gif

Touted to be next big thing coming out of Sporting academy, not since Ronaldo and Moutinho. United should be making this kind of signing to reclaim the top spot

again. Maybe not the answer most United fans would want, but anything to shore up the defence and make United more difficult to break down particularly from

the middle would be very much welcomed.

I know WHU was poor, but that combination of Rooney-Mata-Kagawa was so delicious, that I want more. drool.gif Having said that, players like Valencia is very

important too, even just for certain games to help the defence. Young, not too sure. He looked indecisive at the critical times. Too slow to release/cross the ball.

Of all the wingers, IMHO, he is the likely one to go out of OT this summer - to accommodate Nani/Janujaz/Valencia/new winger (?).

Buttner looked good, even though WHU wingers weren't that functional as they played more hoofballs. He did well when needed though. A good sign and

hopefully he will be ready to at least minimise the damages from Robben an co. sweat.gif

Lastly, what a goal that was! drool.gif

Maybe DM wanna build an aggressive strong type of squad. William Cavalho to be the holding MF. Then push Fellaini up. Up front is winger with one Striker. I think RvP will be sold by end of season. So is Chicharito.

--------------Rooney------------
Kagawa (Young)------Mata------Januzaj (Welbeck)
---------Fellaini-------------------
-------------------Calvaho-------
Coleman--Evan--Jones--Rafael
-------------De Gea--------------
*
That looks like a strong team, combination of power and creativity. At least from WHU game, Fellaini looked capable of becoming the box-to-box player United

would need. Fletcher is getting stronger too, so at least in terms of defensive side of CM is covered. When there are players like Mata and Kagawa in the team, is

it still necessary to have that more creative type CM? hmm.gif I would say it is important to make the squad stronger. Just look at BM squad sweat.gif

I don't agree that Coleman to be put at LB, but Rafael does need a capable cover/back-up as he can't play the whole season on top form, he is known to be abit

injury-prone with his aggressive style and every player needs competition for places to keep them on their toes.

If Buttner is progressing well, he could become a solid squad player. If the opportunity is there, and if Evra does indeed leave this summer, another quality LB

wouldn't hurt. Getting back to the formation, I would swap Young with Nani/Welbeck and Welbeck place with Valencia as back-up to Janujaz.

Oppss... haha

Anyway, i think Rooney is highly getting the Captain armband. I feel he play better as captain.

He plays much better when he is the centre of the world/the main man in the team e.g 2009/2010 season. Imagine if United proceed with selling Rooney to

Chelsea/City sweat.gif

DDG has been very solid at the back for me. It has been a really steady development. If the coaching staff has been criticised for supposed lack of attacking

training/more fitness previously, Chris Woods seems to be doing great with DDG. He is almost flawless so far, apart from few mistakes but he is well ahead of

schedule in terms of goalkeeper career development. Him and Courtois should be one of the big stars for the future if not already.

VS City:

DDG

Rafa Jones Rio Butt

Valencia Carrick Fellaini Kagawa

Mata

Rooney

Wrong game to rotate players. Cleverley should be given the chance the play vs Villa instead of a game of this magnitude, especially after not playing for a

while. That's what you call shooting yourself at the foot. Momentum gained after WHU thrown away by himself, DM. shakehead.gif

Really honest, blunt and brutal. Can't find a video of his assessment of United yet. Need him in our coaching staff. Teach the current crop on how to move and

pass at least.

I don't believe in sacking DM, and then giving the big seat to one of the legends. Are they qualified or experienced enough? Isn't ironic to say sack DM because

he lacks experience/didn't win anything at Everton? Plus, you can only look the nearest neighbour when they hired one of their legends for the position. Look how

well that turned out, eh? I am not saying it would turn out the same, but isn't better to give the seat to one of the "bigger" names whom are more experienced

in handling big egos/names in the dressing room? At least, with that, then can hire the legends to be the assistant manager at most to give them the experience

needed. Coaching positions would be more appropriate.

DM might "learn" on how to cope with these kind of pressures, maybe he won't. Looking at present, he is looking more and more out of his depth. Even his

press conferences recently were terrible. sweat.gif I believe in years to come, one of the 92 legends would become a key figure in the United first team but not

now/too soon.

It is understandable, that. Most of us didn't expect he would give such an impact to the first team like he did, and he did play lot of games consecutively while

others are injured. Now that most of them are back and trying to gain fitness for WC and whatnot, it is better to give the rest and not overuse him risking

injuries. Perhaps next season, after a good summer and pre-season, he would become stronger and better player.

his press conference is not doing him any favor at all

I am not anti-DM per se, but these kind of things to say in PC that most likely than not would be an unpopular statements, are not the right mentality to have as

United manager. Ruthless, yes but not too smart sweat.gif

sadly i think it's , he's usually a bubbly character and enjoy himself when scoring goals. Hopefully we will find him a good club, Dortmund for example would be a perfect for him  with the style of their play and since Lewandowski is leaving.
*
For me, Hernandez is more suited to the Italian game. Dortmund players are mostly skilled players with good one touches plays between them. Hernandez on the other hand sweat.gif But for sure he is still one skilled finishers in the team. Who knows, maybe with Dortmund training setups, they could improve his first touches.

Having said all that, I still hope he would stay. Fight for his place, and improve himself as a player. His first touch is definitely improving but to play like Dortmund

or even BM, not yet sweat.gif

well perhaps his build up play in terms of technical aspect will not be up to scratch with some of their players but as long as he can hold up the ball like lewandowski does think he will have no problem adapting to Dortmund's game. Plus he likes to chase and close down defenders so that will be a big plus.
*
Well I guess so. I am desperate for him to stay, improve and do well for United. Just a shame that we have two excellent players, not just as striker up front, and

local lad who is a more intelligent footballer all round, if not for the finishing.

Don't mind if he does. At least contribute something to the result, hope positively (win). But nowadays, it seems like he forgot how to play football. Lack of

confidence.

As a manager, yes he lacks that, but sometimes you have to take risks. Milan did with Seedorf. Someone with football passion and knowledge of the game.

Knows the club inside out. Hell of a player too. Someone who really understands what it means to be wearing the badge. Not We-Will-Try/Underdog-Moyes rolleyes.gif
Perhaps, the Neviller one day after WC 2014? At least after few seasons with DM, he would take over after Euro 2016? Try to gain as much managerial

experiences as possible before taking the hot seat? That would be some story. wub.gif
