any recommendation on android box with 2gb ram and 16gb storage?
currently looking at minix neo u1, beelink i68, beelink mini mx III, himedia h8. Budget will be the lowest the best.

Will be installing kodi for online watching and sometime watching using the media player through my hdd.

Do consider if you intend to get it connected via LAN or wifi and if its wifi, the location of your router might be a concern for those boxes without antennas, don't make same minor mistake like i did
*
thanks for the feedback, router is very on my tv cabinet, so lan or wifi is no problem for the android box.
So far one vote for himedia h8 which is in my list.

any comment on beelink android box? i know minix neo u1 is very good as recommended by most website, just that the price is on the high side.

2 months back i also looking Android box like u. And after all resing and suggestions by Nicety i choose H8 2+16. Really no regret amd the best thing is Nicety teach newbies like me step by step how to use it and his after sales support really top notch. U can consider coz Android box not easy use like our phone and Astro.

Good luck for ur purchase.

I think by "16GB external source of storage", it should be the 16GB internal storage, also referred to as the "on board storage", for apps, data, etc... The typical Android box has between 4GB and 16GB internal storage (with the exception of the Nvidia Shield Pro which packs 500GB storage). However, such boxes still allow "external" storage devices such as memory cards, usb drives, etc to be connected and accessed.

Rest assured, there are boxes which can accept up to at least 6TB (largest confirmed so far) external hard drives.. I.e. The Minix Neo U1 or Minix Neo X8-H Plus..

thank you. good to hear that. so far my choice came down to either minix neo u1 or himedia h8 2g+16gb

Bro, how's the a95x doing so far? How's the preloaded Kodi?
*
so far so good. the launcher does not have clear memory function like those in phone. so might need to install 3rd party memory cleaner apps.
Preloaded kodi is ok. With kodi center which serve as basic add on center. Easy to use for first timer. If you need to customize your kodi with builds, my suggestion is install spmc from play store, then install whatever build u like on the spmc instead.

I tried several builds using spmc, certain resource hungry build like hyper TT will caused some lag due to the number of widget on the build. Advisable to install those build that is design for firestick.

you tube played nicely at full hd, some of the app that are preinstalled but does not work in malaysia, so i uninstalled it. Device came with rooted from the factory. Installed MX player to get the best out of the player. Played side by side 3d movie without problem. Have not tried ISO file and 3D iso file yet.
