Hope you could advise me whether i should buy this item due to budget and seldom watch TV, only watch during weekend (mostly astro knowledge channels like nat geo wild, history channels, mega builder and do on)

I'm using a Himedia Q1 with unifi VIP10 internet but the Kodi experience was very disappointing. Is it because the device? My box has 8GB internal storage and 1GB RAM. Is it not enough? I'm using it to watch English TV Series and movies only on Kodi. Mostly in HD 720p only. But, if possible 1080p would be nice.

I'm considering to upgrade to a 2GB RAM box. But based on my usage, the Minix Neo X8-H plus is a bit overkill. I've read all about the best android boxes but all the expensive ones. Can anyone recommend a good box under RM400?

I think it is RAM problem. My internet is 10mbps. Should be no problem to stream. I can stream Youtube with no problem using the box. But in Kodi it always buffering. I think 1GB RAM is not enough to run android kitkat and kodi.

BTW, what's your internet speed? I read 4mbps should be enough to stream HD content.
