Guys, seriously thinking about getting the minix neo8. Saw online that there is a 2060p version for about 900-1000 compared to the normal one about 500-600. Worth shelling out for?
Also theres a z64 windows version... I take it that this is basically a HTPC. Would you guys rather a htpc or Android box?

QUOTE(voncrane @ Dec 7 2015, 01:15 AM) RM900 - RM1000?? Mind sharing the link to such a box.. Cuz even the Minix Neo X8-H Plus (4K UHD) is around RM500+ depending on the seller. As for getting a HTPC vs an Android box, that depends on your requirements & expectations. Both O.S have their advantages and disadvantages. Added a screen shot. This is from lazada taken today. I've seen some sellers selling at 595 with free A2 lite air mouse some more. But not sure whether it's a OEM or not... You know lah, so many unscrupulous sellers our there.... If we get the minix neo x8 with android 4.4.2, will we be able to upgrade to 5.1.1? Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 31 2015, 12:57 PM) Like others, I suggest changing the router as all stock routers are low end, meant for basic use. My ASus cost me only rm200 a year ago and it is far superior to the unifi stock router... More stable, max speed maintained, wider coverage. For bigger coverage, will need a higher end model. For maxis, gotta be a littl careful as I think routers sold in stores cannot handle Astro iptv. Many can handle TM hypptv, though. If i'm using ethernet cable to the box, would you recommend changing the router also? or would it not make much difference?
