Dont mistaken android box with content, box is just a box (like a computer) while content (programs) are app based.
Most HD drama/movies can be watch FREE in KODI app.
Live Sports however is abit tricky if you dont want to spend for subscriptions, KODI still have some but u will need some research on which addon to be enabled ("addon" is like provider) u can read it more in the KODI thread.

If u prefer less hassle, then u have to subscribe to paid content like CloudTV, MYIPTV, etc etc that costs around RM300-RM400/year depending what content u want.

Minix has 16GB eMMC vs M8S+ has 8GB Nand Flash

Whats the difference? Well eMMC is faster than Nand Flash, but its not a very big difference though.
So although both box has the same CPU and GPU, but M8S+ would be slightly slower compared to Minix due to the storage speed (one could say its a bottleneck issue).

I also heard some netizen says the H.265 might not be working on M8S+ (tbh im not sure whats that)

Other than that its about the same (for common users, well if pro users would have more noticeable difference)

There are many apps out there that can stream China live TV. Is there any similar live TV streaming for Taiwan channels?

Firstly, try running Namebench. It's an free and portable open-source DNS benchmark software that helps you find the fastest DNS servers available for your network. However, beware of the "Include censorship checks" option. That option, while noble, involves making DNS requests for some fairly shady websites you may not wish to be seen making DNS requests for, especially if your requests are being logged by say your employer... Last time, I ran the test, left the option on and no issues. Tests takes awhile to complete.

As per Google DNS vs Open DNS.... I'd recommend OpenDNS over Google's, simply because I value my privacy (despite what Google says about their public DNS service) and Google has an advertising reputation to keep.. smile.gif . Been using OpenDNS service for years and quite satisfied with it.
