as i know this co. is more towards selling ahem iptv, i doubt it uses boxes with great ram or storage.

kodi... depends how and what u use it for - may need anything from 200Mb to 1.5Gb.

thanks bro. Do you know which kodi I can download for unblock tech ubox S900? The cpu is quad core cortex A53 64 bit and OS is Android 5.1
*
If this box is one of the ahem iptv ones, i do not know if it is locked, or memory too small.

U should ask the seller if that is possible.

A normal new box, u get kodi online with playstore in the box. Or sideload after u download from kodi.tv website.

Read first pagebof kodi thread for more info.

Just switch from Maxis Fibre to UniFi Fibre. Noted that a lot of streaming app does not work in UniFi while there is no issue in Maxis.

How do you all resolved the problem?

Thanks!
*
pls provide:

.. the names of these apps.
.. what device u r using to stream these apps.
.. what router r u using now... tm stock or yr own.
.. what speed u had with maxis and now with unifi.

Would you be kind enough to explain as to why it need to be 192.168.1.1 as the IP range?
If it were using different IP range, what issue would it cause?
*
every service provider uses a unique IP address.

u can't use any address, just like the postman will not be able to find yr house if u use any area code, any address.

TM and TM routers 192.168.0.1
TM and other routers 192.168.1.1

i do not know what maxis or TIME uses.

u can google and read all about providers, router setup, connectivity, etc.

have u tried it?

Just to check with you all. Do you all use Kodi mostly to play all the streaming app in your Android player?
Seems like you guys/gals don't have such problem when using UniFi all this while.

I went to a customer place once to set up the Android player but couldn't get those streaming apps to run properly as they are using UniFi and TM's router that comes with it. So I thought perhaps it's a UniFi issue. Even the installer says TM block a lot of streaming apps in UniFi as I was told but not sure if it's true or not.
*
i hv been using TM Unifi for 5 years.

been streaming Kodi, even 4K, china apps, whatever apps. biggrin.gif

Ethernet or Wifi.

Whether android box, android tv, android tablet or android phone.

If you don't use Kodi but play the movie/drama using those streaming app directly, does it work on UniFi?
*
of course.

it will be pathetic and strange if a box works only via kodi.

The strange part is I have tried it on Minix box (test briefly) apart from my own Remix Android box, it just doesn't seem to work properly. All this happened when I switch to UniFi. There was no issue when I was using Maxis back then.
*
they still don't work after u set the router and devices IP's like i described?

Ah...I see you what you mean.

On the apk esp the streaming one, it's no point hiding it. I see some sellers doing it but it's a waste of time although I understand it's their bread and butter.

But seriously, no point hiding the apk as it's not difficult to extract the apk on Android and share it out.
*
at least u r honest about it, good for u.

but really, this is a section strictly for users only.

once sellers get active here, the section is finished.

Actually if you wanna future proof, then buy 6 gb...else just get the 4gb one...will last you atleast 3-4 years...before better high demanding apps show up
*
What are examples of some apps that will require 4 or 6gb RAM that 2 or 3 cannot work?

Future apps... Which yet to exist.

The biggest app in my collection is kodi, 100mb or so, the rest are 10, 20, 30mb.

To have apps fill up available 5gb ram, u need 50 of them like kodi or 10x500mb apps biggrin.gif

Granted they will come 5 yrs from now or late4.

But that also need something like 5gbps speed.

By the, it be a whole new gen of boxes, probably very diff from what we have today.

I'm using 3gb ram box as well. In kodi setting I set it to 500mb (after multiplied by 3 of course). So far 4K play smoothly
*
u mean advancedsettings.xml?

kodi 16.1 or 17.0?

u r on 50 or 100 mbps, right?

AVFAN,
Check with you, got any good streaming apps recently?
*
No, nothing new.

I now actually use less and less apps and kodi addons.

Focusing more on hd, 4k, hd audio material.

Just goat, kodi quasar.... plus hypptv... and LAN streams from pc downloads... more than enough to watch! biggrin.gif
