AVFAN,
Check with you, got any good streaming apps recently?
*
No, nothing new.

I now actually use less and less apps and kodi addons.

Focusing more on hd, 4k, hd audio material.

Just goat, kodi quasar.... plus hypptv... and LAN streams from pc downloads... more than enough to watch! biggrin.gif

I also kinda giving up on it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, I just enable the URL Resolver zip file then it works or won't work.
These days I just use the tips shared in Kodi thread to watch dramas. Just recently shared, you should be able to locate the post easily.

"watching movies" can mean usb playback, simple movie apps or torrent based apps/addons.

generally speaking, 1/8gb is never as good as 2/16gb.

unless u r talking about just a few simple non demanding apps and that will not change.

thanks AVFAN. Watching movies I mean using Kodi and watching. Can i ask something also, is the X6 pro much better than the X1?

Cause I don't want to spend extra on the box if there is no boost in performance.

From the specs n reviews, the x6pro is a premium box, good for many things.
Kodi also become very large, need a lot of memory n storage, depends on what u put in to get what u want.
Performance can mean many things... speed, ease of navigation, need to clean up, room for future...

I would not encourage u to take x1 unless, like i already said, u r sure u will only use light stuff forever.
However, if the price diff is really huge, a cheap box can serve to be a learning tool.
But u must not regret having to buy another one in the future!

That's cheaper boxes with better spec as mentioned by Avfan and yet be able to meet your expectations such as Sunvell T95M, Beelink MXiii ii

How about box onboard bluetooth connect to 1 headset, and use another 3.5mm to bluetooth adapter to connect another headset? tongue.gif

Not sure if it works or not…lol

Interesting concept...hmmm would it work on PC, have you tried it?

I've decided to buy bluedio headset that has an audio out, so i can use another headset and plug it in to the bluedio headset to share music/movies with partner.

It's this one : http://m.11street.my/productdetail/bluedio...reless-19931922

Not expensive as well and from reviews the sound is quite good too. Build quality is not that good though so might have to be alittle careful with it. A compromise I'm willing to take considering the price.

Now and then when I run an add-on in Kodi, I get "Exceeded Youtube quota".

How to increase that quota?

How to overcome this restriction beside waiting till the next day?

Thanks.

Recently manage to compare my current unit Minix x8-H plus to new Himedia Q10pro player.
Spec on paper Performance & Input and output Himedia Q10pro is the winning media player.

In video quality of color i find Minix X8-H had a better color tone ...more vivid look, Himedia Q10pro color more flat but it have option of adjust the color parameter manually.

In Himedia Q10Pro HDR function i dont see much of improve on normal streaming but if base on 4k video film it looks great.

Picture "quality" is determined by the file, box settings tv settings, and avr if u r using one via hdmi.

For same file, it will be about the box and tv settings.

I assume u r using a 4k hdr tv.

Q10pro... besides the parameter control, try the android settings, advanced settings, play with the sampling type. I find 4:2:0 10 bit to give the deepest colors for playback.

Also, check from time to time the video setting... when u go to kodi or other apps, it will adjust to 1080i 60hz or 1080p 50hz. For playback, set it to 2160p 60hz.... this, i find is best... for any file playback with native player.

Good midrange box would be Zidoo X6 Pro. Can get for about RM360.

IPTV, maximum package, can get RM260 per year
