Hi guys,

I need opinion between minix neo u1 and mi box international.
I know if use for gaming shld pick minix neo u1 but is it like really powerful till 10x performance compared with mibox.
I like the mibox design and expandable storage but will be enough to watch iptv for long period? Im afraid it will get very hot after long period of usage.

Hope you guys can help me on this

Hi guys, after reading here for a week, just got my first androidbox (m9plus 4k). Previously I'm digging popcorn time or Showbox on stock unifi hypptvbox but now I can layan kodi.

Quick question, how to run apps in background without root? Was it implemented via kernel or OS side that each time I minimize back to home screen the previous app will auto kill? I don't have any task killer install. It is a 2GB ram 16GB emmc box. I just wanna run like Spotify in the background and few things.

One more thing, how to fix iFlix "this is embarrassing". Was it because my build prop is weird to iFlix server? My box is not rooted. I know Kodi is able to replace wholly though

Apps abilities to run in the background depends on the app itself having such ability and more importantly, the firmware. Majority of these boxes almost always have a built-in task killer and some firmware/kernel can be quite aggressive in killing apps. Meaning you are out of luck and have to resort to other means. Try KeepRunning, and it doesn't seem to require root.

As for the iFlix issue, its an either it works on your box or it doesn't at this time. Up to iFlix to update it to work on your box. In the past, one was able to run older versions of the iflix app, but recently they've pushed out an update and using an older version to connect to their servers...results in the app requesting (forced) for the update. Tons of android devices out there, hard for their devs to keep track and can't really blame em as the app's originally designed and maintained for small screens.

You need to manually update the AZDrama source with the zip file in Kodi...

this problem is also seen with 2 other local providers - astro-on-the-go and hypptv everywhere.

they work on some boxes, don't work on others.

but they all work on tablets and phones.

that says the providers either intentionally block usage with boxes or simply too slow to catch up with all kinds of android boxes in the use.
