Hmm.. Been awhile since me last Hulu subscription.. It did work on the Minix Neo U1. Though if it's just Hulu Plus that interests you, consider Google's Chromecast instead.

Yeah I was thinking of the Chromecast too. Thanks!

Can't say it's surprising.. however, this is quite interesting.. From the first link (Kodi forum).

The News Flash Section:

Buggiest Android Kodi Box award of the quarter goes to:

- Any AMLogic S912 box running Android Marshmallow 6.0, like the Beelink GT1 as an example. Don't get hoodwinked by clever marketing and Tech specs people. Its been awarded a D by our very own @hdmkv. A D for Do Not Bother!
There is NO LibreELEC Kodi support for AML S912 devices either.

Along with that warning, those considering buying any dirt cheap, unsupported Android Kodi boxes needs to Read This

And if that does not convince you that all unsupported AMLogic boxes with Android Marshmallow 6.0 are rubbish at the moment for semi-serious Kodi use, then read this post about DTS Audio passthrough issues.

I can confirmed that there's no dark screen on Nexbox A95X, there's OTA support as recently updated in previous page, don't have that LightHome problem as opposed to Beelink Gt1 or MXiii ii I've experienced, with MX Player installed its able to enjoy DTS passthrough capability thru my Onkyo 509. Wifi is also good from 30' distance from router (Asus)

Personally, if on tight budget below $200, this is highly recommended incl if you are considering Sunvell T95M

from kodi team
QUOTE
Sorry guys but the Team with limited manpower no longer has the will to build in workarounds for vendors not following the proper API's, we believe that while we continue to do this the vendors will continue to release buggy firmware that doesn't properly adhere to the API's. While we regret users getting caught up in the politics, with Kodi having such a big user base on Android, we think we are now in a position to flex some muscle by no longer supporting the hacks of the past, and by only sticking to the API's do think there's any hope of creating a change in attitude from the box/SoC vendors.

If users also only support boxes that do adhere to standards and boycott products which don't, then the box/Soc vendors will be further incentivise if they start getting hit where it hurts, by decreased sales and revenue. If you buy a product which doesn't support the formats it should for passthrough (see list from fritsch) then return the box clearly stating why.

With the latest firmware, Minix Neo X8-H Plus supports iflix and astro-on-the-go (no need to sideload, can install from Google Play store directly). You must not root the the Minix box, otherwise astro-on-the-go will not run though it will still install. Cheapest price if you shop around should be around RM5XX (with airmouse)

How about minix neo u1? Is there any problem installing Astro on the go app? Thanks

That was what I thought with H8 till I got Q5 Pro. Was a bit reluctant to change over due to the smaller GB.

But after the change, I am happier with Q5 Pro than with H8. More stable and also better features though they are from the same company.

On the GB, I think the partition setup is different and thus no problem with running out of space in Q5 Pro as one will think with half of the H8 GB.

I would recommend the Q5 Pro from Nicety as the beginner and mid range TV box. The extra RM50+ is worth it, in my view.

Thanks. Good news for Q family.

Now need to upgrade my TV to UHD 4K/8K etc to benefit from the HDR, x bits colour etc. But hard to justify when my Pana plasma is still doing fine. Ha.
