Anyone know any seller in Lazada that sets up the box fully with different free channels, VOD and live TV? I noticed LC Marketing is the guy in Digital Mall Section 14. But I am not sure if he sells his boxes in Lazada all done up or just empty box. Anyone got experience buying from Lazada with boxes all done up? Who can I buy from that has det up the box fully?

something u need to understand:

.. a box is a box, need updates and upgrades of firmware and apps to keep going; other wise they go obsolete, dun work after a while. these boxes are software driven, not like axtro push button box since u pay.

.. most boxes u buy online come with some preinstalled apps; u dun get a choice, apps may be out of date too.

.. if u buy at local stores or LYN sellers, they normally install what they think are good, u can request too; after sales support can vary, some help a lot, some will forget u.

.. if u buy those with paid ahem iptv, it is usually for 1 yr; "lifetime" - what guarantee will u have?

.. bottomline - presintalled stuff gives u a headstart but u need to learn how to upgrade, update, delete and install new regularly. so, the earlier u get yr hands dirty, the better.

.. those who have enough knowledge are able to get plenty of good stuff incl HD for free. will need constant maintenance but is doable. those who rely on others will not be able to get high performance for free.

in summary, u will need to get hands on, DIY to get the max out of any box over time.

a fan of sharp?! biggrin.gif  me too.
le950 models are 1920x1080; a few months later, the ue630 models arrived, 3840x2160 or uhd 4k.
the former do not have google androidtv, the later does.
so, u will need android boxes.
but be informed that if a tv is not 4k and/or HDR, a 4k/HDR box can't deliver it to the tv.
himedia q10pro and q5pro are capable of 4k/HDR, DTS:X, DD Atmos.
*
Ya...I did look at the 4K models but too expensive lah. The LE950 models are HDR, right?
As for TV brands, yes, I prefer Sharp. However, I think the fluctuation in our power supplying is killing off all electrical equipment, Sharp included. My 70" Sharp TV died a few months ago (LED panel problem) but the Sharp people came promptly to replace it.

Le950 is hd, 3d... not hdr.

Hdr is newer than uhd4k, now comes as additional feature to newest uhd4k tvs.

LC Marketing in Lazada. I bought Minix Neo U1 from him. Warranty 1 year. Don't expect much after sale service about setup. All you have to DIY.

Anyone can help me which is a good and cheap tv box to buy? Noticed in Lazada got this MXQ tvbox that is cheap. Is this good or should I pay a bit more to get a better box?

Thanks everyone

i bought tht mxqpro . its good enough so far tested kodi, soundcloud, show box

cheap for beginner to tinker with , no issues streaming 1 full movie / 3 hours music playback

it gets kinda hot, but not too hot. few apps / add-on not working. hv yet to troubleshoot

local file browser / usb drive playback is good. picture / audio quality is excellent

only downside is i guess, no bluetooth. hope tht helps

I bought a Himedia from the shop before. They pre-installed a few apps for you, but they will not set-up Kodi for you. So far after 1.5 years, my box is still working fine but I need to hang out in this forum to keep myself informed of upgrades and tweaks.

My experience is some of these apps will stop working in a few months, you need to know where to get updates. Same with Kodi too.

reading what u wrote, i can see u already know what u want, that's good.

one other thing i can say is IF u r buying a new higher end TV, it will be worth your while to get a uhd4K tv with google android tv if using android quite a bit. it is very convenient with the android built in, works just as good as any equivalent box. in fact, it is superior in that u will get youtube, netflix in uhd4k direct with the tv's android whereas most boxes can't.

well said bro

thena123 they key point is you must have the eagerness to learn something new. you will discover a lot of things that you can do with the box once you got it.

if you subscribe unifi you can test the stock huawei android box first

sure it can.

the box video display in settings has many options, incl highest 2160p 60hz.

but the box will detect yr tv and default to 1080p 50hz, can't set it higher manually.

That's a bad idea to include 3 adult channels in Goat.  ohmy.gif

Anyone below 18 might be able to view it, especially if you have young kids at home.

Any suggestion to lock the apps using password? For now, I have switched to Rice & Free IPTV.

Rice TV apk also available in this thread already at shakehead.gif

Ordered the HiMedia Q10Pro. That was the easy part. Tweaking it will be the hard part. I don't expect the seller to load and update everything for me so I guess I will have to rely to you people to assist me. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'll have to update the Android and Kodi systems once I get it (after I have configured all the connections). I think this can be done easily as Google Play Store is pre-installed in the box. Then it will be content/source searching. Any recommendations? The box is basically for the missus and she watches Cantones (HK), Chinese (PRC), English and Korean movies/programmes. Even local Astro content is good. That will keep her occupied.

Do I need to customise the launcher?

there are a few q10pro users here, i believe.

they and users of other models can probably help you.

but will be more appropriate to do that in this himedia thread:
