Just got mine today. Haven't really compared it with other brands but the one I got is responsive and I can easily behind at the back on my TV as it has velcro strip that I can use. So far so good.

this one ok or not?

It's good plus it's cheap and it seems like its a local distributor which means you can get your item faster. I bought mine for rm280 bangwall.gif

In my opinion, I think it is more than enough unless there are games and other apps you would like to install. The purpose of the android box is just to stream anyway so I guess 10GB of ROM is enough.

It's sufficient as long as you do not stream/store content that's more than that.. I've got about that same amount and no issues with streams.. As files bigger than that need to be fully downloaded first before playback. E.g BD.

hi all,

i'm just asking... since hypptv standard box is not reliable enough do install other apps, has anyone tried install hypptv everywhere .APK, astro on the go .APK, tonton.APK on your android TV Box? If we can install this local and legal apk in the android box, we no need the original hypptv box from TM to see local channel rclxms.gif

Yes it has been tried.. Search the thread.. I'd still prefer using the TM issued STB for Hypptv viewing cuz easier access and HD pq.

yes, u can.

u can also install these mobile apps onto phone or tablet, cast on tv.

but... these apps are in SD, sometimes worse than SD.

small tv, small screens ok, anything >40", comes out poor.

on the other hand, hypptv on stb or astro on decoder are 1080i, comes out very good even on large tv's.

the tech is there, can provide great HD streams like Netflix.

just that hypp/astro is not there - not ready to invest and not ready to give up control with the box, understandably.

Hello,

Anyone can suggest to me a TV box (not necessary android) that is small and compact (something like those mi box mini) but most importantly have USB input & HDMI output (or better yet straight hdmi connect)?

The idea is its small and convenient enough to bring for travel and no messy long power cable. USB is used for connecting HDD/Pendrive for media

I saw one or two online but not sold in Msia

Tq

There is an update prompt, but it fails, which is good. biggrin.gif

Likely the robinhood provider has done something to block the update, keep it working.
