Saints have today completed the signing of Portugese defender, Pele (real name Pedro Miguel Cardoso Monteiro) for a fee believed to be just under £1m.
The 28 year old central defender is 6'2" and said to be pretty agressive and strong in the air and well suited to settling quickly into the English style of football. Burley has been after him since he joined Saints, but a deal couldn't be completed in January.

Soooo close for Saints to a first day victory in a classic game of two halves at Pride Park, but old lady luck and switching off late on, put paid to three points. Saints clawed their way back after a pretty desperate first half to dominate the second and grab two superb goals.

Well,in this case the victim was the Saints cause the Rams score a last minute equalizer. . I notice your signature.Spurs fan,eh?Have you been to White Hart Lane?I was there when I was 10.London nice.

Saints got off to a winning start at a passionate and loud St Mary's thanks to yet another stunning "The Bomb" freekick from Gareth Bale. Not only was this only his second ever freekick for the first team, it was to the exact minute he scored at Derby, but even more impressive was tonight's effort was fully 35 yards out. Saints made sure of the points when Rasiak converted a penalty that he won himself to send the fans home very happy.

Attention Saints Fans! get this card now!!!!!

He didn't have a good World-Cup.Hopefully he will do more good for his club.By the way,I bought a Poland(PB) jersey just because of him.

Ok, describing Saints as the "beauty" is probably over the top, but its fair to say based upon today's evidence that West Brom will probably be the beast of this division. A side that goes with physicality first and foremost and for a spell in the first half it worked for them. Saints got their game together in the second half, but couldn't work a clear cut chance apart from Bale hitting the post with another freekick. A tough match, but also an indicator that Saints can at least match the roughest team in the division, which does bode well for a good season.Thanks for the Shout-Out Tidus86.By the way,good game by Liverpool.Looks like it's going to be a battle for the top in the Premier League.

Another good player from the club.Hope he can work his magic all season so that we be back with the big boys.Some clubs are looking to buy him.

Saints came from behind twice to get a point at Barnsley, but was it a point gained or two dropped from a fixture we expected to win? Probably only later in the season can we use the benefit of hindsight to tell for sure, but right now, Saints are unbeaten in 4 games, although we have won only one.

We are now 9th in the league.Saints 5 vs Yeovil 0!!!

I'm sad too.But wait you see this defeat will make us stronger!

Back to fifth place.Hope we can stay in the top six.
