Anyone had the experinced to bought DSLR from Grey/Gray Market?
Need you to share some of your experienced and advice the risk of buying these
If you're quoting Nikon USA, yes, they are against grey products (bodies and lenses) and would not repair or even touch a grey product even if you paid them. But then again, US people suually buy their stuff cheaper and Nikon gives them 5 years warranty ! If you purchase a gray market import, you won't get any Nikon warranty.

I think for Nikon Malaysia (and perhaps Singapore & Thailand), they will certainly not honour a grey DSLR body warranty. But they will repair them so long as you are willing to pay.
However note that for lenses, Nikon provides 1 year international warranty and if you buy your Nikon lenses from, HK, Japan or even US, just show warranty card and the receipt for proof of purchase for Nikon Malaysia to honor the international warranty should it be required.
