i owned the car for 3 yrs already. driven around town before everyone else.

CKD means only cheaper parts when the car starts to deteriorate after 5 yrs. which is good news for me.

Ckd got localized parts? I thought assembling knock down imported parts only?

I hear from other forums ppl wondering why ppl cucuk them on Overtaking lanes... Perhaps they were cruising on overtaking lanes? Then when ppl overtake them, they speed up and cucuk back.. Irony isn't it?

Perhaps they never read this from their undang2 book - Keep left when not overtaking.

localized part contents will increase after CKD. initially maybe just 10% - like tyres, head unit (kenwood is made in malaysia)

then it will increase to maybe 30 - 60%: windscreen (no more jap eco glass), leather upholstery, spray painting, wheels (no more jap made enkei) etc etc

that's the requirement for CKD basis, and also explains why the price is cheaper (lower excise duty)
