Heard from the place I bought Panasonic TV, Astro are offering Beyond for rm348, I assume it is 1 step advance than Njoi?
But no more stocks now. Just need to clarify. Using 50" with normal antenna are kinda fail and in my area even worst, raining only NTV7 will not be able to view.

The disc need to have certain direction for it to work, so you cannot DIY.
That's why you can get "Astro" antenna cable from your local electronic shops whistling.gif
As the installers are selling the cables.

Sorry recently just subscribed to NJOI and  it's for my mum to watch.

It's too troublesome for her.

I have some basic questions :-

1. Her fav channel is 8TV, which is astro channel 708. Is it possible to map channel 708 to a lower number ? The number is too big, it is too difficult for her to press 7-0-8.

After I stored a few channels as favourite, and then ask her to press 'fav'. But because the number is too big, she still have to press many times before it will hit channel 708. Or is there a way to reverse sort the fav channel no ?

2. The astro installer came to install and tried to upgrade the firmware, it is still stuck at the old interface ( ie he failed to upgrade the firmware ). Understand from him that the new firmware is menu at the bottom. How to upgrade the new firmware ?

The instruction I found is to press power and channel + repeatedly, but my NJOI decoder only has power button, there is not 'channel +'.

3. When power on, the screen show a small one. Have to press one button to make screen big. Is it possible to set it so that screen goes to big display when power on ?

If you change from antenna to njoi just because of reception issues, then I can say you made a very big mistake.
When I change to LED TV, I was in your boat also, thinking to change or not. End up I never change, instead, I need to look for the best spot for the "perfect" reception.
And because the pipe are round, so it will still move over the time. Now am thinking of the ways to ensure it won't move.

Most people opt for Njoi is because of reception issues.
