Confirm hdmi included? Probably the agent keep it and now use normal rca cable to component ports. Need to report this to Astro.

got hdmi cable by samsung. a few manual books.

i got mine in end of 2013, installer comes with sealed box. i open it myself, keep all the accessories.

i sure the installer going to sell the hdmi cable as spare part if anyone needed. or your set is actually not 1st hand set.

im curious...

I just apply for NJOI for my parent house.

My parent still using byond acc, but the decoder and sat dish for NJOI already arrived and not yet installed

But why i need to pay installation fee while there's no installed item?

Everything still in the box and my mom pay RM448?

can someone clarify this?

Price is fixed I think. They will ask you to sell off the items yourself if you don't want.

Sorry recently just subscribed to NJOI and it's for my mum to watch.

It's too troublesome for her.

I have some basic questions :-

1. Her fav channel is 8TV, which is astro channel 708. Is it possible to map channel 708 to a lower number ? The number is too big, it is too difficult for her to press 7-0-8.

After I stored a few channels as favourite, and then ask her to press 'fav'. But because the number is too big, she still have to press many times before it will hit channel 708. Or is there a way to reverse sort the fav channel no ?

2. The astro installer came to install and tried to upgrade the firmware, it is still stuck at the old interface ( ie he failed to upgrade the firmware ). Understand from him that the new firmware is menu at the bottom. How to upgrade the new firmware ?

The instruction I found is to press power and channel + repeatedly, but my NJOI decoder only has power button, there is not 'channel +'.

3. When power on, the screen show a small one. Have to press one button to make screen big. Is it possible to set it so that screen goes to big display when power on ?

If you change from antenna to njoi just because of reception issues, then I can say you made a very big mistake.
When I change to LED TV, I was in your boat also, thinking to change or not. End up I never change, instead, I need to look for the best spot for the "perfect" reception.
And because the pipe are round, so it will still move over the time. Now am thinking of the ways to ensure it won't move.

Is there a way for me to use a generic "universal remote control" with astro decoder ?

I know there are many cheap astro compatible remote control unit pricing around RM15 or less. But all of them almost look alike in design, and all the numeric keys have alphabets printed together with it which makes the font too small for old people who have poor eye sight.

I am looking for a remote control with huge font on the numeric pad. Better if I can program the remote control to send specific numeric sequence with one key press. The idea is to send for example '708' with one key press.

The fav is not solving the problem fully, as I have already programed a short list of fav TV channels for her. So fav is not one item. It's a list. She has to press fav many times to scroll to the last item of the fav, which is 708.

Some more the fav button is rather small and obscure.

If it's possible to have 2 fav buttons .... wink.gif
