This e-dividends email notification from Maybank2e is pretty useless. Unlike others, it doesn't state the amount in the email. I think
Quill is using them too.

I was wondering, now I manually track dividends received from the receipts mailed to me. Does any brokerage in Malaysia have a feature of generating a summary of dividends received for a client?
Probably not, but just asking.

I use a tool called jstock.. pretty useful for me to track down all div payment year-by-year..

Sun RE is one of the better REIT which can give a good capital gain based on trend trading..I quite like them actually.

Well, REITs are not meant to be traded...growing dividends and steady price is preferable.

yup its true.. but holding on to something indefinitely isn't a good trading strategy for me too. The point i want to share is, if trend trading is your cup of tea and you wonder which REIT is trendy...Sun is one. Tks.

When you have a stock that has very good price movement it is good for trading. I always set aside a profit% for all stocks including REIT, whenever it hits, nothing holds me back. Stock prices are always up&down, as long as you have the capability of monitoring the price and know roughly what's the time to buy/sell, you are good! I never believe in holding something indefinitely even if it has very good dividend payout. I never have to 'sigh' again for losing the opportunity to sell/buy becoz I know that my target has been achieved, so just move on!
