U  make sense now .....surely Bursa would adjust the price down a few x sen according to the x sen given out.as DPU or dividend.....

But there is a possibility someone may push up ....later like some stocks I have ...not always lah
*
If like that, then who wants to buy REIT?? rclxub.gif

everytime got dividend, the price will be adjusted again... sad.gif
cannot realise profit immediately then?

Another option ,  u can go Genting for some immediate returns... hmm.gif

I was thinking it could be an option better than FD, but then it seems have to wait for the price to go back to normal after the adjustment by Bursa. sad.gif

how do we know if the price has been adjusted after the EX-date?

if we sell on the EX-date, we are still eligible for the dividend right??

Yes.

Your trading platform should indicate an "X" next to the stock name.

when is the adjustment? Is it on the EX-date?
I don't see any X sign yet. hmm.gif

e.g. closed at 1.02 on last trading day
2 sen divvy declared
on ex day it will automatically open at 1.00 (1.02 - 0.02 = 1.00)

I see, thanks for the info.

if you buy shares ON the EX-date, are these eligible for dividend?

Yesterday report said unlikely to raise rates, today said likely 1st Asean country to raise rate  rclxub.gif

BNM is unlikely to raise rates...

all ASEAN countries are unlikely to raise rates ..

among all the "unlikely to raise rates ASEAN" countries, we're the first to raise rates.

Makes any sense?? brows.gif

guys, what is your REITs to FD ratio??
I wonder if I should move some FDs to REITs.
Is this the lowest risk equity in the stock market?

wah ... CMMT increased so much over the weeks. sad.gif

I sold mine too early, only profited RM0.05 per share. Should have waited until this week. Could have gotten RM 0.12 per share. cry.gif
