bro, i don't think it works that way. once you terjebak into modulars, sure you'll try to find the ones that are 'reasonably' priced for EOL (like FB)

Seems that local TRUs and Dept Stores don't have the Lego Movie sets yet. I bought a small set from SG, the Heater or Melter (can't remember name) which has 3 figs, Emmet, WyldStyle and the Robo Cop dude. Is that considered a good set?
*
It's a 'good' set in the sense that it comes with the hero and his love interest, is a pretty pivotal scene in the movie, and has some nice new parts if you're into building your own MOCs. That's based on a www.eurobricks.com review though - I don't have the set myself personally biggrin.gif

Well, consolation is that the Simpsons Collectible Minifigures series is going to be available later... brows.gif So if you just want the Simpson minifigures that's going to be the affordable way to own them but don't know yet what characters are going to be in that series...

The purported list:

Homer
Marge
Bart
Lisa
Maggie Simpson
Grampa
Ned Flanders
Ralph Wiggum
Nelson Muntz
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
Chief Wiggum
Krusty the Clown
Itchy
Scratchy
Mr. Burns
Milhouse

From Toys N Bricks

Whooppss...just realized someone already posted this

we seem to be talking a lot about LEGO in monetary terms these days. while i admit that it's an expensive hobby, as an AFOL i'd like to think of it in monetary terms only in the sense that i'd like to get it as cheap as possible, not speculation on value appreciation or even LEGO as an investment vehicle. surely that's not the point (or at least, not a very big point) in this hobby?
