To be honest, to get a DSLR below 1k is quite unreasonable. even a better digital compact camera cost more than that.Maybe you'll have some luck in film type SLR but that in the end will cost you more on the film.
Budget of RM1.5k to 2k would be a more reasonable range (at least for a used DSLR)
