I'm looking for a budget best all-rounder flash diffuser for Nikon SB-600. Been reading a few reviews on flash diffusers. Any site to recommend for further reading or suggestion for a good all-rounder flash diffuser for most situations? I'm currently looking @ lambency flash diffuser and the standard omnibounce flash diffuser. Hmmm....

I saw this link in a long discussion about tripods. A little bit of marketing but funny and informative non the less.

i think http://digital-photography-school.com/ is pretty good for beginners.

also recommending kenrockwell.com . some may hate this guy, but i like how he always emphasizes on skills rather than equipments. very important lesson

Hello all,

I have been facing a problem and hope i could find a real answer here.

I am a D90 owner, however i notice that when i open RAW file with software like Photoshop or Lightroom, the quality of RAW picture will degrade. Picture that will become blur and greyish. However when i open with Nikon software ( RAW as well) , the picture looks normal.

anyone of you know what is the problem ?

Thanks

Try the 3rd party Stofen flash? Quite handy..
Lambency is quite heavy, but performance and result is good.

I was once told by a sifu that diff softwares might render RAW files slightly differently, resulting in slightly diff tones/colors.
Perhaps after edit/convert, can u get the same end result?

I think FF would distort more compare to crop sensors on certain lenses since FF covers more of the corners and edges...

Hi Shifu,

I want to know photo like this is require PS or manual settings on the camera?

Any mode can do. I would use Aperture priority mode or Manual mode most probably.
PS edit is definite for the color effect...
The key to this photo is the shallow depth-of-field and the composition, then the color effect to create the mood.
