Hi guys.I want to buy a midi controller with 61 keys. Not going for too expensive but wanted a good & quality one.
I will use the controller on laptop.
From my survey,i think Axiom 61 & Impulse 61 will suit me but dont know which one is better.
Any other recommendations?
Where to buy it around KL,Perak & Penang?

Impulse is better. The automap is better than any other mapping software that the other midi controller have.

What's your budget bro. Generally midi keyboard under 1000 doesn't have good action. For that price might as well get a Yamaha or Casio velocity sensitive keyboard and make do as a midi keyboard instead. If u have the budget id say the Roland a800 has a very good action as I played their soft synth action keyboards before. But for that price might as well source for a used digital piano with 88 weighted keys.

My 2 cents as I was searching for a portable midi keyboard like u sometime back and settled for a behringer umx610 which I sold it off because of the terrible terrible action.

I see. With that budget why not get a Casio CDP 130 or a Yamaha P35 both ~2k and hook up as a midi controller. Its a no brainer, really, with 88 weighted keys midi controllers selling more expensive than a digital piano, might as well get the digital piano with build in sounds and speaker.

lel. u aint gonna get light weight hammer action piano. best get started liftin' flex.gif

wouldn't worry about the weight. just the length, how its gonna fit in the luggage bin is a worry if u are frequent flyer. i hand carry my guitar previously on air asia and its already a chore, still waiting for these foldable pianos.

if you dont need knobs and sliders, do consider the keystation 88es. cheaper and its semi weighted

note: they do have the 61 keys version too. someone selling on jamtank recently at super cheap price (RM450 used).

unless u talking about grands, i absolutely detest upright pianos action and i still find my casio's action to be way better than uprights.

u may wanna consider the high-end yamaha clavinovas and stage pianos with NW (natural wood) action, its the same action as their grands, made of real wood keybed drool.gif of course the price cry.gif

u got the rd700sx? rich fag dry.gif
