I love to use this as prior to 4.4 (its the stock browser on GNex and Nexus S)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...d.browser&hl=en

But now since 4.4 changed a lot, that browser hardly supports anything (No UI for history, incognito broken) but I still use it. It still kinda works good enough for me.

Another good browser is this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...owser.barebones

Well, idk if these apps have any security concern, but Firefox is also a good choice if you care for security as its open source (its now finally smooth too).

Same I don't do banking transaction or any sort on my mobile.
The only account login I do is LYN and some other forums. No fb, email.

I'll do some sniffing tonight, see where Dolphin is sending my usage packet to.

i think u can always try to flash without wipe..

but then it might go into bootloop.. or some of the things might not be functioning well after flashing...

like once i tried flashing catalysm without wipe.. my radio dun work anymore.. so i had to wipe to make it work again..

the steps shud be wipe -> flash -> reboot...

but actually.. either way is fine... e.g flash -> wipe -> reboot...

Advisable to wipe data. You should check on the custom ROM you wish to flash, there should be recommend steps from OP.

standard common rules you can practice and carry it always, I do it all the times. dirty flash even from different custom rom to different custom rom. anything bad happen, only full wipe. since I practice frequently on TB, no worries on anything in bad flash happen...

I really missed the good old stock browser, it has offline reading function which is extremely useful when I had long reviews or page to read.

Opera had the capability to save offline pages for quite a while already.

i always do TB for my user apps also..
n never do TB for my system apps..

but i m wondering whether I can do backup for the google accounts that i have?..
cuz I actually got a few google accounts to access diff country's playstore more conveniently...
everytime i wipe means i have to key in every single account that i own... pretty much a hassle..

I usually keep 1 nandroid backup in phone.
My flashing procedure:
- /format system
- /format data
- /format & wipe cache
- flash rom (also gapps if needed)
- reboot
- flash kernel
- reboot
- any other flashy flash flash.zip
- reboot
- enjoy biggrin.gif
- Yes I like this long flashy route.

This usually when from diffferent rom to different rom. Nightlies just dirty flash.
Granted I don't frequently change roms, only kernels.

i read an article before regarding information theft somewhere before that stated this very big.

The best security to prevent from digital information theft is to not use any internet at all.

Yeah i try and avoid flashing nightlies etc all the time. I would usually stay with a rom for around 20 days plus to a month and then reformat the latest release if any.

Like forexample i was on purity rom 22nd Jan release and just installed 7/02 today because well my phone needed a format, there were some bugs and sound bugs here and there.

So i did a full format including the SD card and backed up everything using my OTG thumbdrive and installed Faux kernel
