Straight away un-installed Dophin. whistling.gif

Stick back to Chrome, since most my apps/software using is Google, don't mind Google talking my info anyway...
*
Haha yes! The only xposed module I use is xprivacy so I know most the permission (also blocked them!) but what I did not know was that they store/forward the browsing history! (I usually clear everything once I leave the browser). Guess I'll stick with firefox since I like the 'speed dial' feature on Dolphin.

I still kinda mind Google stores so much of my personal informations (contacts, CC, etc etc) but I learnt to deal with it ever since I opened a google account and sync most of my info from my first android phone to google. whistling.gif

Should put this in every Android thread there is in Lowyat. Not many people know about this and this is worrying.

Ask the mod for help. I think they can help you make a sticky thread about this and I'm sure they'll be aware too. smile.gif

shocking.gif I really need to read/check xda more often. Also check the browser via google before installing.

I don't sign into any accounts using Dolphin (I use it mainly for reading). However, privacy is an important factor, hence uninstalling!! shakehead.gif

Thanks for sharing with us. thumbup.gif

most of the web browser are doing the same nowdays.
else not how they will ever know which website you have been to and what you have been googling on as well.
you can notice this by seeing your email receiving those SPAM email stating exactly what you have been doing with the internet.
advertisement on your FB page on all the stuffs you have been browsing.

EDIT : Additional information to those that using Live messenger login with their Skype. Microsoft is keeping every single chat you have. you can forever see your chat history online with the Outlook.com web browser messenger no matter how you delete your history.

Hmm, you're right in some point. Unfortunately, other browsers don't need READ_LOGS, get device ID, boot completed permissions to make those. READ_LOGS does not exist in most apps Play Store offers. Get Device ID?
If it were used in identifying your phone model, then it is OK (but I don't see other browsers needing this to identify yours.). Boot completed? What's that actually?

No offense and puns are intended. Just for info.

Actually some other apps do that to troubleshoot or report errors. What they don't do is to encrypt data to send to their central server after they got found out. I.e. Dolphin browser.

guys.anyone here is an ADB expert ?
got something to ask

im using a Mac OSX. ADB & Fastboot works fine with my previous phone (Nexus 4)
i just got my Nexus 5 2 days ago but then, i ran into a bit of "problem" with ADB when i plug into my mac and run "adb devices"

ADB did detect my phone but the status is offline
Tried to enter fastbot boot and flash some stuff(recovery etc), it works fine no problem.Fastboot can detect my phone.
I tried to enter recovery, leave my phone in recovery mode and try adb devices, ADB can detect my phone,no problem at all and even the ADB status is correct which is recovery.

Is it normal that ADB status is offline if we run "adb devices" outside out recovery mode  ?

i've tried

1. revoke usb debugging authorization
2. restart phone
3. switch on/off usb debugging
4. reinstall back ADB & Fastboot

no go.ADB still detects my phone as offline
Any idea ?
*
I'm no ADB expert. But your adb might be outdated. Try to find out which guide you used (there are quite a few variations for OS X). If you used the Google SDK Manager, launch at and update the "platform tools" <- basically fastboot/adb stuff. Then try again nod.gif

Yup, I agree with encryption. I can't tell much about others since I don't have experience with it.
I'm just afraid their browser would read our private logs since it's an Android Manifest permissions, not used-permissions. sad.gif

Some info about UC Browser. Take it with a grain of salt:
http://darkwap.mobi/technology-stuff/Inves...-Mobile-Browser

Note that UC Browser also has similar permissions (encrypt/HttpPost) of Dolphin Browser.

And some more info:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=466

You can easily check using Wireshark to capture packets sent from the app when browsing to log the IPs visited.
