This pahang tengku is the one involve in mining bauxite. Tanah makmur delist is not because of palm oil or property launches. But because of their land sitting on a big gold mine of bauxite that can be made into aluminum.
Because the bauxite does not need deep drilling, the margin for mining this is as hugh as 30 to 40% Tats why this tengku fast fast privatized it. |

QUOTE Malaysian bauxite output more than quadrupled year-on-year in 2014 to nearly 963,000 tonnes, according to government figures. QUOTE Existing bauxite stockpiles in Kuantan must be exported before the moratorium can be lifted, Wan Junaidi said, adding that there were 3.6 million tonnes of stocks in Kuantan. Malaysia had shipped out around 3.5 million tonnes of the commodity to China in December, but exports dwindled to slightly under 1 million tonnes in February. 2015 figures vs 2014 figures = https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/337048 http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asiapa...on/2679486.html Since LME has been gradually rising, the more the reason for them to continue mining after they clear up all those environmental issues.
