During episode 2, that's when I noticed that Saito seemed different from all the stereotypical goodie-two-shoe male protagonist. He picked up the cake dropped on the ground which was meant for Guiche, sends it to him personally (O_O whoah) and revealed Guiche's two-timing nature without any sense of remorse. When Guiche challenged him to a duel, I was expecting him to lose, but my early assumptions were all obliterated, and raped, for good.

During episode 6 is when Saito's garness really shines. His expertise in wielding a 66mm M72 Light Anti Armor Weapon (LAW) really raised a question from me: is he like, a fan of ARMS Magazine or Guns & Ammo?

The M72 LAW is a portable one-shot 66 mm anti-tank weapon, designed in United States by Talley Defense Systems, produced by Nammo Raufoss AS in Norway.

The LAW replaced the bazooka as the US Army's primary anti-tank weapon after the Korean War. It was intended that it would be replaced in service by the FGR-17 Viper (which would also replace the FGM-77 Dragon), but this program was cancelled and the M136 AT4 was introduced in its place.


Although a Vietnam War era weapon such as the M72 LAW itself is considered obselete as it was superseded by far more superior and sophisticated anti-armor weaponry, it was put back into service recently in Iraq this year. The low cost and light weight of the LAW, combined with a proliferation of lightly-armored targets, makes it ideal for the type of urban combat seen in Iraq.
