this thing... expectation is they first need to do some work to ban the providers of certain illegal streams rather than devices outright.

next, they can ban/harass sellers of devices that come preloaded with such apps - this is already seen in european countries.

several cases already sellers hauled to court selling boxes loaded with apps incl kodi+addons accessing pirated content.

such app/addon owners also taken to court, fined heavily, until they take them down.


but i doubt they will/can ban devices outright if they come with legal n legit apps only.

if they ban clean boxes, they must also ban smart tv's, android phones, android tablets... even notebooks and pc's!

that can't happen.. doesn't make sense...

live sports in HD... free streams are NEVER reliable, kodi addons or other free apps.
either they last 5 min or a week.
it is very frustrating...
besides redbox, u can try livenettv and freeflixhq, which are like redbox... google to find apk's.


afaik, there are only 2 reliable ways:

1. astrogo - do what u must to get someone to share id/pw - the app works on yr device androidtv.

2. use of acestream app with reddit links - takes a bit of work, can be troublesome but is good.
google to learn how to do it... i used it last year worldcup 2018, excellent.
this method works well on generic android but may be a bit diff for androidtv as it has restrictions on copy n paste actions.

oh, didn't know this... i haven't used it since wc2018... not a big soccer fan.

too bad for live soccer fans.

ch 5 and 8 are dead with most apps.

this is supposedly due to recent changes in mediacorp-toggle.

official toggle app is said to be working ok.

will hv to wait until someone finds a way...

Think yr tv uses own os, can only do what is found in the tv store or marketplace.

Tvs with androidtv os like sharp, sony... can sideload almost any android app.

dun sweat over it.

unlike in the past... today, u can get a decent working android box that can do all basic and essential functions for <rm120.

free reliable live tv for eng channels are always hard to find.

check out these 2 - ustv pro v 6.2.5 and liveplanettv v 1.0.16 - good stuff.

mobdro is well known, been around for a long time.

but it is all SD, some 240, so bad u can't watch them... unless on phone or tablet.

there are many others like it, with some streams in HD.... redboxtv, livenettv, liveplanettv.
